Abstract

Permeability is a parameter of ground hydraulic conductivity which is called the permeability coefficient (k). Measurement of soil permeability is important to know the rate of water infiltration into the soil. Soil permeability is strongly related to its hydraulic conductivity (K). The determination of the permeability coefficient (k) is based on Darcy's law. Biopore Infiltration Hole (LRB) is a simple and effective technology but effectively improves in-situ permeability coefficients. By measuring the in-situ permeability, enhancement of the soil permeability coefficient related to Biopore Infiltration hole treatment. This research was conducted in UKI cawang. The in-situ permeability coefficient was measured using a apparatus prepared in the field. The original soil samples were also taken for permeability tests in the laboratory. The result showed that the coefficient of soil permeability with biopore infiltration increased almost 95,1%. Keywords: in-situ permeability coefficient, soil permeability coefficient, Biopore Infiltration Hole.
