Abstract

Oleh karena kondisi iklim dan cuaca di Indonesia yang ektrim menyebabkan jalan di Indonesia mengalami kerusakan yang tinggi, mulai dari jalan berlubang hingga badan jalan pecah karena intensitas curah hujan yang tinggi. Untuk itu diperlukan campuran aspal yang mampu mengurangi kerusakan – kerusakan tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti mencoba untuk mengetahui kadar optimum yang mampu meningkatkan kualitas campuran aspal menjadi lebih baik dan menggunakan karakteristik campuran aspal lateks dengan variasi lateks 0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%, dan 12.5% pada campuran aspal beton terhadap filler abu batu dan sulfur atau belerang dengan menggunakan kadar aspal optimum sebesar 6 % dari total berat campuran. Pengujian ini di lakukan di laboraturium Universitas Kristen In-donesia dengan metode Marshall. Hasil dari pengujian pada tugas akhir ini menunjukan bahwa nilai stabilitas tertinggi pada kadar lateks 5% sebesar 1039,93 kg. Pada perendaman didapatkan hasil yang memiliki penurunan stabilitas terhadap campuran aspal tanpa perendaman adalah variasi sulfur + lateks (6% + 0%) dengan presentase nilai stabilitas menurun sebesar 0,17%, kelelehan menurun sebesar 3,5%, dan Marshall Quotient terjadi peningkatan sebesar 7,56%. Kata Kunci : Lateks, Sulfur, Stabilitas, Kelelehan, Bahan Campur, Marshall Quotient./ Due to the extreme conditions of climate and weather in Indonesia, roads in Indonesia have been heavily damaged, ranging from potholes to broken road bodies due to the high intensity of rainfall. For that we need an asphalt mixture that is able to reduce these damages. In this study, the researchers tried to determine the optimum levels which could improve the quality of the asphalt mixture for the better and used the characteristics of the latex asphalt mixture with latex variations of 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%, and 12.5% in the mixture of asphalt concrete against the ash filler. rock and sulfur or sulfur by using the optimum bitumen content of 6% of the total weight of the mixture. This test was carried out in the laboratory of the Christian University of Indonesia using the Marshall method. The results of the test in this final project show that the highest stability value is at 5% latex content of 1039.93 kg. In the immersion, the results that have the smallest reduction in stability to the asphalt mixture without immersion are variations of sulfur + latex (6% + 0%) with a decreased percentage of stability values by 0,17%, melting decreases by 3,5%, and Marshall Quotient an increase of 7,56%.
