Abstract

Soziduhu Gulo, Pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dan Budaya Organisasi terhadap Kinerja Guru di SMP se-Kabupaten Nias Barat, 2021. Kepala sekolah merupakan pemimpin tertinggi pada sebuah sekolah dimana memegang peranan penting dalam peningkatan kinerja guru di sekolahnya. Hasil pengamatan awal menunjukkan masih terdapat kepala sekolah yang bertindak secara otoriter dengan mengambil kebijakan tanpa melibatkan guru - guru. Dalam penunjukkan pelaksanaan tugas tertentu kepala sekolah menunjuk orang-orang kepercayaannya tanpa mempertimbangkan kapasitas dan keahliannya. Ini memberi kesan yang kurang baik terhadap bawahan lain sehinggga membentuk suatu budaya yang nantinya mempengaruhi sikap dan kinerja guru. Akhir dari kepemimpinan kepala sekolah seperti itu dapat memicu sikap guru bertindak dan berbuat sekehendaknya saja, dibuktikan dengan guru datang dan pulang tidak sesuai jamnya, guru tidak peduli terhadap kemajuan sekolah, ia hanya peduli pada kewajibannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menguji pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja guru di SMP se-Kabupaten Nias Barat. Penelitian ini kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survey dengan pendekatan korelasi (causal study ). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru SMP Negeri se-Kabupaten Nias Barat dengan mengambil sampel guru-guru bersertifikat sejumlah 106 orang tersebar pada 38 sekolah. Untuk menghitung validitas butir angket digunakan korelasi product moment dari Pearson. Uji hipotesis menggunakan proses perhitungan analisis regresi linier sederhana dan regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ; (1) gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru dengan kontribusi sebesar 17,5 %, (2) budaya organisasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 16 %, (3) gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan budaya organisasi berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 20,6 %, selebihnya kinerja guru ditentukan oleh faktor - faktor lain diluar penlitian./ Soziduhu Gulo, The Influence of Principal Leadership Style and Organizational Culture on Teacher Performance in Junior High Schools in West Nias Regency, 2021. The principal is the highest leader in a school which plays an important role in improving the performance of teachers in his school. Initial observations show that there are still principals who act in an authoritarian manner by taking policies without involving teachers. In appointing the implementation of certain tasks, the principal appoints his trusted people without considering their capacity and expertise. This gives a bad impression on other subordinates so as to form a culture that will affect teacher attitudes and performance. The end of the leadership of the principal like that can trigger the attitude of the teacher to act and do as he pleases, as evidenced by the teacher coming and going home not at the right time, the teacher does not care about the progress of the school, he only cares about his obligations. This research aims to analyze and examine the effect of the principal's leadership style and organizational culture on teacher performance in junior high schools throughout West Nias Regency. This research is quantitative using a survey method with a correlation approach (causal study). The population in this study were all state junior high school teachers in West Nias Regency by taking a sample of 106 certified teachers spread over 38 schools. To calculate the validity of the questionnaire items, Pearson's product moment correlation was used. Hypothesis testing using the calculation process of simple linear regression analysis and multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS. The results showed that; (1) principal leadership style affects teacher performance with a contribution of 17.5%, (2) organizational culture affects teacher performance by 16%, (3) leadership style and organizational culture simultaneously affect teacher performance by 20.6 %, the rest of the teacher's performance is determined by other factors outside of research.
