Abstract
Research has conducted to observe the influence of modifications media Murashige-Skoog(MS) and benzyl amino purine (BAP) on the growth of callus culture of Centella asiatica.Explants young leaves of C. asiatica were cultured on media (full MS, ½MS, ¼MS) with addition of BAP 0.5; 1.0; 1.5; 2.0 ppm. Research shows that all treatments are able to generate callus. Callus growth rate of C. asiatica was influenced by the type media and the concentration of BAP were used. Callus growth C. asiatica in full MS and ½ MS showed rate similar growth, but at ¼ MS slower growth. Callus dry weight of C. asiatica highest of 572 ± 21.3 mg contained in the full MS and BAP concentrations 2.0 ppm.
