Abstract

Skripsi ini membahas bagaimana Geostrategi Indonesia dalam meredam konflik Terbuka di Laut China Selatan priode pertama Jokowi 2014-2019, wilayah laut China Selatan menjadi lahan strategis. Pelan tapi pasti, konflik Laut China Selatan mengarah pecahnya perang terbuka. This thesis discusses how Indonesia's geostrategy in reducing the open conflict in the South China Sea in the first period of Jokowi 2014-2019, the South China Sea area became a strategic land. Slowly but surely, the South China Sea conflict led to the outbreak of open war. This has an impact on other countries in ASEAN including Indonesia as an archipelagic country and borders with other countries. It is important for Indonesia to maintain its sovereignty as well as its efforts to reduce open conflict. The theories put forward for this problem are Defense Diplomacy Theory and Strategy Theory. Indonesia as a non-claimant state prioritizes the stability of the peaceful region through a defense diplomacy strategy towards neighboring countries and builds trust for the progress of the DoC and CoC, this is influenced by bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Indonesia remains in a free and active position and invites the Claimant state to control itself and seek resolutions through regional cooperation forums as well as becoming a strategic partner in managing tensions that occur in the South China Sea.
