Abstract

Daun cincau hijau (Cyclea barbata Miers) merupakan tanaman yang memiliki banyak manfaat dan cukup mudah ditemukan di Indonesia. Tanaman ini memiliki manfaat sebagai antioksidan, ant2nflamasi sehingga digunakan sebagai pengobatan panas dalam, peradangan, antidiare, dapat juga digunakan untuk menurunkan tekanan darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui zona hambat daun cincau hijau terhadap bakteri Enterococcus faecalis.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan Post Test Only Control menggunakan metode Kirby-bauer. Ekstrak daun cincau hijau dengan berbagai konsentrasi yaitu 100%, 50%, 25%, 12,5%, 6,25%, 3,125%, 1,5625%, diuji daya hambatnya terhadap Enterococcus faecalis. Hasil penelitian ekstrak daun cincau hijau diperoleh rerata zona hambat tertinggi pada konsentrasi 100% dengan daya hambat 10,1 mm dan zona hambat terendah pada konsentrasi 3,125% dengan daya hambat 2,1 mm. Daya hambat terjadi karena kandungan alkaloid, flavonoid, polifenol, tannin, saponin dan steroid di dalam ekstrak daun cincau hijau. Kata Kunci: Daun cincau hijau (Cyclea barbata Miers), Enterococcus faecalis / Green grass jelly (Cyclea barbata Miers) is a plant that has many benefits and is quite easy to find in Indonesia. This plants has a benefits as an antioxidant, anti-inflamatory. It can be used for sore throat, inflammation, anti-diarrhea can also used to lower blood pressure. This study aims to determine the inhibition zone of green grass jelly against Enterococcus faecalis. This study uses experimental research design with a Post Test Only Control design using Kirby-Bauer method. Green grass jelly extract with various concentrations, namely 100%, 50%, 25%, 12,5%, 6,25%, 3,125%, 1,5625%, was tested for it is inhibitory effect against Enterococcus faecalis. The results of the study of green grass jelly leaf extract obtained the highest average inhibition zone at a concentration of 100% with an inhibitory effect 10.1 mm and the lowest average inhibition zone at a concentration of 3.125% with an inhibitory effect 2.1 mm. Inhibition zone occurs due to the content of alkaloids, flavonoids, polyphenols, tannins, saponins and steroids in the green gras jelly leaf extract.
