Abstract
Gizi adalah zat makanan pokok yang diperlukan bagi pertumbuhan dan kesehatan badan. Gizi berkontribusi positif terhadap tinggi rendahnya pembentukan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas, cerdas, dan produktif. Status gizi dapat mempengaruhi hal tersebut. Keadaan status gizi dipengaruhi oleh pola mengonsumsi makanan yang baik dan cukup dengan mempertimbangkan aspek biologi, lingkungan, dan budaya. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analitik korelasi dengan menggunakan pendekatan Cross Sectional, untuk mengetahui kaitan analisis pola makan gizi seimbang dan status gizi dengan perkembangan kognitif pada mahasiswa Universitas Kristen Indonesia Fakultas Kedokteran Angkatan 2017. Pengambilan sampel yang digunakan berupa random sampling sebanyak 63 orang yang diambil dari 170 mahasiswa FK UKI Angkatan 17. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner kebiasaan makan, kuesioner penerapan gizi seimbang, dan kuesioner food frequency kualitatif. Data diuji dengan metode statistic Cronbach’s Alpha dengan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar (60,3%) dari responden berstatus gizi normal yakni 38 orang, dengan pola makan gizi seimbang yang kurang sebanyak 36 orang dan 49 orang memiliki kemampuan kognitif sedang, sebagian kecil (4,8%) dari responden berstatus gizi kurus yakni 3 orang, dengan 27 orang pola makan gizi seimbang dan 2 orang miliki perkembangan kognitif rendah. Hasil uji statistik p-value = 0,01>α (0,05), sehingga disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan pola makan gizi seimbang dan status gizi dengan perkembangan kognitif pada mahasiswa Universitas Kristen Indonesia Fakultas Kedokteran Angkatan 2017. Nutrition contributes positively to the high and low levels of the formation of quality, intelligent, and productive human resources. Nutritional status can influence this. The state of nutritional status is influenced by a pattern of eating good and sufficient food by taking into account biological, environmental and cultural aspects. The research method in this study is a correlation analytic method using a cross sectional approach, to determine the relationship between analysis of balanced nutritional diets and nutritional status with cognitive development in students of the Indonesian Christian University, Faculty of Medicine, Class of 2017. The samples used were random sampling of 63 people. taken from 170 students of FK UKI Class 17. The research instruments used were a questionnaire on eating habits, a questionnaire on the application of balanced nutrition, and a qualitative food frequency questionnaire. Data were tested using Cronbach's Alpha statistical method with the SPSS program. The results showed that most of the respondents (60.3%) had normal nutritional status, namely 38 people, 36 people with a balanced nutritional diet and 49 people had moderate cognitive abilities, a small proportion (4.8%) of the respondents were underweight nutrition, namely 3 people, with 27 people eating a balanced diet and 2 people having low cognitive development. The results of the statistical test p-value = 0.01> α (0.05), so it can be concluded that there is no relationship between a balanced nutritional diet and nutritional status with cognitive development in students of the Indonesian Christian University, Faculty of Medicine, Class of 2017.
