Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana media online memberitakan kasus femisida serta membongkar ketimpangan relasi kuasa di dalamnya. Kasus femisida terus terjadi setiap tahun. Media yang mengangkat kasus femisida terlihat menghamiki ataupun menyalahkan korban. Korban dibingkai sebagai penyebab terpancingnya emosi pelaku sehingga terjadilah femisida. Media menempatkan perempuan sebagai objek karena budaya patriarki yang masih dianut hingga sekarang, hal ini menyebabkan ketimpangan relasi kuasa antara pelaku dan korban. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep femisida, relasi kuasa, dan pembingkaian (framing). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis teks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peneliti menemukan temuan yang kemudian dikategorisasi menjadi empat kategori yaitu kepemilikan nyawa korban, stereotype, victim blaming, dan memanuasiakan pembunuh. Dari keseluruhan berita, narasumber resmi dari pihak kepolisian atau narasumber tunggal dari pihak pelaku lebih dominan ditampilkan. Media juga menganggap bahwa femisida adalah kasus kriminalitas biasa. Dalam hal ini, media kehilangan kesempatan menggunakan pengaruhnya untuk menggambarkan femisida sebagai masalah serius yang perlu mendapat perhatian lebih. / This study analyzes how online media reports on cases of femicide and uncovers the inequality of power relations in it. Femicide cases continue to occur every year. The media who raised the femicide case seemed to condemn or blame the victim. The victim is framed as the cause of the perpetrator's emotional provocation, resulting in femicide. The media places women as objects because of the patriarchal culture that is still practiced today, this causes an imbalance in power relations between perpetrators and victims. This study uses the concept of femicide, power relations, and framing. This research uses text analysis method. The results showed that the researchers found findings which were then categorized into four categories, namely ownership of the victim's life, stereotypes, victim blaming, and humanizing the killer. Of all the news, official sources from the police or a single source from the perpetrators are more dominant. The media also considers that femicide is an ordinary criminal case. In this case, the media loses the opportunity to use their influence to portray femicide as a serious problem that needs more attention.
