Abstract
Thesis, Education Management, Postgraduate Program, Jakarta Christian University, 2019 This study aimed to determine the comparison of learning outcomes between the problem based learning (PBL) learning model and the reflective pedagogical paradigm (PPR) model. This research was conducted in class VII SMP Don Bosco III, using quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental type of research. The research design used was one group pretest-posttest in which the experimental class using the PPR learning model numbered 27 students while the control class with PBL model totaled 28 students. To compare the learning outcomes of the two models above, the t test was used. The results showed that the mean pretest in the experimental class was 67.07 while the control class was 67.36. After doing the learning process the posttest mean of the experimental class increased to 87.96 as well as the 80.11 control class. Improved learning outcomes of these two learning models can be seen from the average N-gain results where the N-gain value of the experimental class is 63.4% with the category quite effective while the N-gain value of the control class is 37.7%. Based on these findings it can be concluded that the PPR model is superior to the PBL model. Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Reflective Pedagogical Paradigm, Problem Based Learning, Model.
