Abstract

This study aims to answer the question whether there is a relationship between providing guidance with the development of self-potential of students at Cahaya Sakti High School. This study uses a quantitative method using a modified Likert model, which is a scale used to measure the provision of career guidance about the phenomenon of self-potential. The sample used in this study is random sampling. The results of the regression analysis showed a value of 0.647, meaning that the relationship between providing career guidance and developing the potential of students was said to be strong. The effective contribution of the variable providing career guidance to selfpotential development was 64.7%, while the variance determination was 0.419 or 41.9%. The significance test of this study is 0.000 <0.05, so it is stated that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that the relationship between providing career guidance and developing the potential of students is very significant. While the data analysis for the linear regression line is Ŷ = 12. 349 + 1.052 X, meaning that if the provision of career guidance is enhanced, self-potential development will also increase.
