Abstract

The use of smart phones in the digital distance learning process is very dependent on the internet network, besides that the blue light radiated by these devices also has the potential to interfere with the health of its users. In areas that have limited internet networks, especially in 3T areas, distance learning can be done using broadcasts from television. Instructional videos, either live or live delay, broadcast by the teacher with a local television transmitter, students watch the video from their own home, but students cannot respond to learning or ask questions directly, so learning occurs in only one direction. In this study, simulated the use of a television transmitter as a means for the teacher to provide learning material, while students used an FM transmitter to respond and ask questions to the teacher. The research was conducted in Jonggol Subdistrict, Bogor Regency, West Java, the television frequency used on Chanel 58 UHF and the radio frequency on 103.7 FM. A television set that receives a signal with good quality will display clear video, while for poor reception quality, the displayed image is tangle, but the sound is still clear. Radio equipment that receives a signal of good quality will produce a clear sound, for poor reception the sound is weak and hissed. In the use of distance learning, where the transmitter must cover a longer radius, a signal amplifier circuit can be added to each transmitter. UKI as an educational institution is expected to be able to facilitate local television broadcasters to provide entertainment as well as education to the community around the campus, as well as being used as a learning medium for students.
