Abstract

This article addresses the semantic changes exploring the patterns and reasons of Shouthem dialect lexicon of Li Niha as an evidence of language change. The semantic changes patterns are: 1) Noun to noun, 2) Noun to adjective, 3) Noun to verb, 4) Adjective to adjective, 5) Adverb to verb, 6) Verb to noun, 7) Verb to verb, 8) Verb to adjective.
