Abstract
Area parkir Fakultas Teknik Universitas Kristen Indonesia menghadapi permasalahan penumpukan sampah dedaunan yang selama ini masih dibersihkan secara manual menggunakan sapu konvensional. Metode manual tersebut membutuhkan tenaga kerja yang besar, waktu yang lama, serta tidak memiliki sistem pengumpulan sampah yang terintegrasi sehingga proses pembersihan menjadi kurang efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan merealisasikan sistem otomatisasi alat penyapu dedaunan berbasis sapu putar (rotary broom) dan conveyor pada area parkir Fakultas Teknik Universitas Kristen Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif melalui perancangan prototype dan uji eksperimental. Sistem alat dirancang menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 sebagai pusat kendali utama, lima buah sensor ultrasonik HC-SR04 sebagai pendeteksi halangan, dua buah motor DC MY1025 12V yang dikendalikan oleh dua buah motor driver BTS7960 sebagai penggerak utama alat, tiga buah motor DC 775 sebagai penggerak rotary broom, satu buah motor DC 775 sebagai penggerak conveyor, empat buah modul relay, empat buah PWM dimmer, serta modul buck converter LM2596 sebagai penurun tegangan dari aki 12V menjadi 5V untuk menyuplai ESP32. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sensor ultrasonik mampu mendeteksi halangan dengan baik sesuai jarak yang telah ditetapkan pada program. Sistem rotary broom dan conveyor berhasil bekerja sesuai logika kontrol yang telah diprogram, termasuk berhenti saat sensor mendeteksi halangan dan aktif kembali setelah halangan tidak terdeteksi. Kecepatan motor penggerak utama diatur menggunakan nilai PWM 130 untuk gerakan maju dan mundur dengan estimasi kecepatan 1402 RPM, serta PWM 150 untuk manuver belok dengan estimasi kecepatan 1618 RPM. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat penyapu dedaunan otomatis berbasis ESP32 dengan mekanisme rotary broom dan conveyor berhasil dirancang dan berfungsi sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian, serta mampu membersihkan sampah dedaunan pada area parkir secara otomatis dan efisien. / The parking area of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Kristen Indonesia faces the problem of leaf litter accumulation which has been cleaned manually using conventional brooms. This manual method requires a large amount of labor, takes a long time, and lacks an integrated waste collection system, making the cleaning process inefficient. This study aims to design and realize an automated leaf sweeping system based on a rotary broom and conveyor mechanism in the parking area of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Kristen Indonesia. The research method used is a quantitative method through prototype design and experimental testing. The system was designed using an ESP32 microcontroller as the main control center, five HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors as obstacle detectors, two MY1025 12V DC motors controlled by two BTS7960 motor drivers as the main drive of the device, three DC 775 motors to drive the rotary broom, one DC 775 motor to drive the conveyor, four relay modules, four PWM dimmers, and an LM2596 buck converter module to step down voltage from a 12V battery to 5V to supply the ESP32. The test results show that the ultrasonic sensors were able to detect obstacles well according to the distances set in the program. The rotary broom and conveyor systems successfully operated according to the programmed control logic, including stopping when the sensor detects an obstacle and reactivating after the obstacle is no longer detected. The speed of the main drive motor was set using a PWM value of 130 for forward and backward movement with an estimated speed of 1402 RPM, and PWM 150 for turning maneuvers with an estimated speed of 1618 RPM. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the ESP32-based automated leaf sweeping device with a rotary broom and conveyor mechanism was successfully designed and functioned in accordance with the research objectives, and was able to clean leaf litter in the parking area automatically and efficiently.
