Abstract

Pada industri manufaktur berbasis susu (dairy based), mesin filling merupakan mesin yang sangat kritikal karena akan mempengaruhi kualitas dari produk yang dihasilkan. Tingkat produktifitas sangat tinggi karena mengikuti tingkat permintaan konsumen yang tinggi sehingga mesin perlu beroperasi selama 24 jam setiap harinya. Tingginya produktifitas juga akan menimbulkan downtime yang tinggi. Dari data ini dikatakan bagian mesin yang mengalami downtime yang tinggi adalah area longitudinal sealing dengan total waktu 2057 menit dan automatic splicing unit dengan total waktu 1907 menit. Pada penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa terjadinya downtime diakibatkan karena kondisi perawatan mesin yang kurang sesuai dan kurang diperhatikan sehingga sering mengalami kegagalan pada sistem selain itu kondisi mesin baru dan kurangnya familiar pada personil menyebabkan kurang sesuainya kondisi saat melakukan persiapan sebelum maupun saat produksi sedang berlangsung Penelitian yang sudah dilakukan menghasilkan tingkat produktifitas yang meningkat dan turunnya downtime pada mesin filling ini. Hasil penelitian menaikan nilai mean time between failure yang awalnya 14998,23 menit menjadi 21498,33 dan menurunkan nilai mean time to repair yang awalnya 279,23 menit menjadi 106,33 menit. Data MTBF dan MTTR ini juga akan berpengaruh pada nilai perhitungan availability pada proses produksi yaitu yang awalnya 0,981 atau 98,1% menjadi 0,994 atau 99,4% dapat disimpulkan mengalami kenaikan sebesar 1,3%./ In dairy based manufactured industry, filling machine is a critical machine that affects the quality of the production result. The level of productivity is very high following the high level of consumer demand so the machine must operate for 24 hours every day. High level of productivity will also cause high downtime. From this data, it is said that the machine part that experienced high downtime are the longitudinal sealing area with a total time of 2057 minutes and the automatic splicing unit with a total time 1907 minutes. In this research, it can be seen that the occurrence of downtime is caused by inappropriate and the lack of attention for the machine maintenance condition that resulting frequent failures in the system. Besides that, the condition of the new machine the preparation and when the production is on process. and the lack of personnel’s familiarity of this machine causes lack of suitability during The result of this research are the increased level of productivity and reduced the downtime on this filling machine. The results of this research increased the mean time between failure value which was 14998,23 minutes to 21498,33 minutes and reduced the mean time to repair value which was 279,23 minutes to 106,33 minutes. This MTBF and MTTR data willl also affect the availability calculation value in the production process from 0,981 or 98,1% to 0,994 or 99,4%. From there, it can be concluded that it has been increased for 1,3%.
