Abstract

Industri esports telah menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang sangat signifikan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, baik di Indonesia maupun di kancah internasional. Esports kini tidak lagi dipandang sekadar sebagai hiburan digital, tetapi telah berkembang menjadi industri profesional yang melibatkan berbagai sektor, seperti teknologi, pariwisata, media, dan ekonomi kreatif. Jakarta, sebagai pusat kegiatan hiburan dan bisnis nasional, memiliki potensi besar dalam mendukung perkembangan ekosistem esports ini. Beberapa kali kota ini dipercaya menjadi tuan rumah turnamen esports berskala internasional, yang menunjukkan tingginya minat dan partisipasi masyarakat terhadap cabang olahraga elektronik ini. Namun sayangnya, penyelenggaraan turnamen-turnamen tersebut masih bergantung pada fasilitas non-khusus yang belum sepenuhnya mampu mengakomodasi kebutuhan teknis dan operasional dari sebuah event esports profesional. Ketiadaan fasilitas khusus seperti arena pertandingan yang sesuai standar, area pelatihan, serta tempat tinggal sementara untuk para peserta menjadi tantangan tersendiri dalam pelaksanaan turnamen esports di Jakarta. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan sebuah kompleks arena esports berskala internasional yang dapat menjawab kebutuhan tersebut secara menyeluruh. Kompleks ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat kompetisi, tetapi juga sebagai pusat kegiatan esports yang terintegrasi, menyediakan fasilitas lengkap bagi atlet, penyelenggara, media, dan pengunjung. Dengan mengusung konsep arsitektur futuristik, perancangan arena ini diharapkan mampu menciptakan suasana yang modern, inovatif, dan responsif terhadap perkembangan teknologi serta tren industri esports ke depan. Penelitian ini disusun melalui pendekatan metodologis yang mencakup studi pustaka, observasi lapangan, wawancara, analisis data, serta perumusan dan penerapan konsep dalam proses perancangan arsitektur. Kata kunci : arena esports, arsitektur futuristik, kompleks esports, turnamen esports / The esports industry has experienced remarkable growth in recent years, both in Indonesia and internationally. Esports is no longer seen merely as digital entertainment, but has evolved into a professional industry that encompasses various sectors such as technology, tourism, media, and the creative economy. Jakarta, as the nation’s hub for entertainment and business activities, holds great potential to support the development of this esports ecosystem. The city has been trusted several times to host international esports tournaments, reflecting the high level of public interest and participation in this electronic sport. However, these tournaments are still held in non-specialized venues that are not fully equipped to accommodate the technical and operational needs of professional esports events. The lack of dedicated facilities— such as standardized competition arenas, training areas, and temporary accommodations for participants—poses a significant challenge for the optimal implementation of esports tournaments in Jakarta. Therefore, there is a need for an international-scale esports arena complex that can comprehensively address these needs. This complex should not only function as a competition venue, but also as an integrated esports center, offering complete facilities for athletes, organizers, media, and spectators. By applying a futuristic architectural concept, the design of this esports arena is expected to create an environment that is modern, innovative, and responsive to technological advancements and the evolving trends of the esports industry. This research is structured using a methodological approach that includes literature studies, field observations, interviews, data analysis, and the formulation and implementation of design concepts in the architectural design process.
