Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara kualitatif dan deskriptif materi pembelajaran yang digunakan di UPT. Golden Kids UKI, khususnya dalam konteks pembelajaran bagi anak dengan Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Fokus utama penelitian mencakup evaluasi terhadap kesesuaian materi dengan karakteristik anak ASD, metode penyampaian yang digunakan, serta efektivitasnya dalam mendukung tujuan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK). Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, sebagaimana dikemukakan oleh Sugiyono, yakni penelitian yang dilakukan pada kondisi objek yang bersifat alamiah. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap guru serta proses pembelajaran di UPT. Golden Kids UKI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan materi pembelajaran bagi anak ASD masih menghadapi dua kendala utama, yaitu belum optimalnya proses asesmen dan belum tersusunnya kurikulum PAK yang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan anak berkebutuhan khusus. Materi yang digunakan masih bersifat umum dan belum mempertimbangkan karakteristik khas anak ASD, seperti kesulitan komunikasi dua arah, keterbatasan fokus, serta dominasi penggunaan bahasa nonverbal. Selain itu, proses asesmen yang dilakukan guru masih bersifat informal tanpa dokumentasi dan keterlibatan profesional, sehingga pemetaan kebutuhan belajar belum optimal. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pengembangan materi pembelajaran PAK yang kontekstual, sederhana, konkret, dan berbasis visual agar mampu meningkatkan pemahaman, partisipasi, serta perkembangan spiritual dan sosial-emosional anak ASD. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan praktik pendidikan yang lebih efektif dan inklusif di lingkungan UPT. Golden Kids UKI, particularly in the context of teaching children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The main focus of this research includes evaluating the suitability of the materials to the characteristics of children with ASD, the instructional methods employed, and their effectiveness in supporting the learning objectives of Christian Religious Education . The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, as proposed by Sugiyono, namely research conducted under natural object conditions. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving teachers and the learning process at UPT. Golden Kids UKI. The findings reveal that the development of learning materials for children with ASD still faces two major challenges: the assessment process has not been optimized, and an adaptive Christian Religious Education curriculum tailored to the needs of children with special needs has not yet been systematically developed. The materials currently used remain general in nature and do not adequately consider the distinctive characteristics of children with ASD, such as difficulties in two-way communication, limited attention span, and the dominance of nonverbal language use. In addition, the assessment process conducted by teachers remains informal, lacking proper documentation and professional involvement, resulting in suboptimal mapping of students’ learning needs. This study emphasizes the importance of developing Christian Religious Education learning materials that are contextual, simple, concrete, and visually based in order to enhance understanding, participation, and the spiritual as well as socio-emotional dev elopment of children with ASD. Therefore, this research is expected to contribute to the development of more effective and inclusive educational practices within UPT. Golden Kids UKI
