Abstract

Studi pembuatan dan karakteriasasi paduan ingat bentuk CuAlZn telah dilakukan dengan tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi massa pada Cu, Al dan Zn terhadap struktur kristal, kekerasan dan kuat tarik pada paduan ingat bentuk CuAlZn dengan metode metalurgi serbuk dimana massa Al konstan. Dilakukan pula metode sintering pada temperatur 900°C selama 90 menit, kemudian didinginkan cepat dengan media udara dengan suhu ruangan. Hasil pengujian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa variasi massa pada logam Cu dan Zn dapat mempengaruhi nilai kekerasan dan kuat tarik pada paduan. Semakin besar massa pada logam Cu dan semakin kecil massa pada logam Zn akan menghasilkan nilai kekerasan dan kuat tarik pada paduan ingat bentuk CuAlZn semakin tinggi. Kata kunci: Paduan ingat bentuk, Heat treatment, kekerasan, kerapatan dislokasi. / Studies on the manufacture and characterization of CuAlZn shape memory alloys have been carried out with the aim of research to determine the effect of mass variations in Cu, Al and Zn on the crystal structure, hardness and tensile strength of CuAlZn shape-remembering alloys using the powder metallurgy method where the mass of Al is constant. The sintering method was also carried out at a temperature of 900°C for 90 minutes, then cooled rapidly with air at room temperature. The results of the tests performed showed that mass variations in Cu and Zn metals could affect the hardness and tensile strength values of the alloy. The greater the mass of Cu metal and the smaller the mass of Zn metal, the higher the hardness and tensile strength values of the CuAlZn shape memory alloys.
