Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana keefektifan penerapan metode sosiodrama dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen di kelas VII dan VIII SMP Negeri 80 Jakarta. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya semangat dan keterlibatan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran yang selama ini berlangsung satu arah dan kurang interaktif. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dengan peserta didik dan guru, serta dokumentasi selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari satu guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dan sepuluh peserta didik dari kelas VII dan VIII yang dipilih secara purposif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode sosiodrama memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Melalui metode ini, peserta didik memperoleh kesempatan untuk terlibat aktif secara langsung dalam proses pembelajaran dengan memainkan peran yang menggambarkan situasi nyata kehidupan. Hal ini tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman materi secara kognitif, tetapi juga menumbuhkan sikap empati, kemampuan bekerja sama, rasa percaya diri, serta penghayatan terhadap nilai-nilai Kristiani seperti kasih, pengampunan, dan tanggung jawab. Keterlibatan emosional peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran menjadikan suasana belajar lebih hidup, menyenangkan, dan bermakna. Peran guru sebagai fasilitator juga penting dalam mengatur jalannya sosiodrama agar sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode sosiodrama efektif untuk mendorong motivasi dan keaktifan peserta didik serta menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang menyeluruh dalam konteks pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Kata Kunci: Metode Sosiodrama, Motivasi Belajar, Pendidikan Agama Kristen / This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing the sociodrama method in increasing students’ learning motivation in Christian Religious Education for grades VII and VIII at SMP Negeri 80 Jakarta.The background of this research is the low enthusiasm and involvement of students in the learning process, which has so far tended to be one-way and lacked interactivity. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews with students and teachers, and documentation during the learning process. The informants in this study consisted of one Christian Religious Education teacher and ten students from grades VII and VIII, selected purposively. The results of the study show that the sociodrama method has a positive impact on increasing students’ learning motivation. Through this method, students have the opportunity to be actively involved in the learning process by playing roles that depict real-life situations. This not only improves cognitive understanding of the material but also fosters empathy, collaboration skills, self-confidence, and appreciation of Christian values such as love, forgiveness, and responsibility. Students' emotional engagement in the learning process creates a more lively, enjoyable, and meaningful classroom atmosphere. The teacher’s role as a facilitator is also essential in guiding the sociodrama to align with learning objectives. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the sociodrama method is effective in encouraging student motivation and participation, as well as creating a holistic learning experience in the context of Christian Religious Education.
