Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) merupakan upaya membentuk pemahaman, keyakinan, nilai-nilai, dan praktik kehidupan Kristiani yang berakar pada Alkitab. Namun, penerapan nilai-nilai PAK dalam masyarakat yang kaya akan tradisi lokal, seperti tradisi slametan dalam budaya Jawa, kerap memunculkan ketegangan. Tradisi slametan, yang sarat dengan nilai kebersamaan, rasa syukur, dan penghormatan kepada Tuhan dan sesama, sering dianggap bertentangan dengan nilai-nilai Injil karena pengaruh kepercayaan nenek moyang yang melekat. Ketegangan ini menciptakan dilema antara upaya melestarikan tradisi lokal dan keinginan untuk menjalankan iman Kristiani secara utuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi untuk menganalisis bagaimana nilai-nilai ini bermetamorfosis dan diadaptasi menjadi kerangka bagi pendidikan agama Kristen. Hasil penelitian adalah sebuah struktural fondasi, makna dan prinsip serta metamorfosis nilai yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai dalam slametan, seperti kebersamaan melalui doa bersama dan berbagi berkat, dapat diadaptasi ke dalam praktik pendidikan agama Kristen, misalnya dalam bentuk ibadah syukur, persekutuan doa, dan pelayanan kasih. Proses transformasi ini menjadikan nilai tradisi lokal menjadi alat inkulturasi yang memperkaya pembelajaran iman secara kontekstual. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa analisis nilai-nilai slametan dalam PAK berpotensi memperkuat spiritualitas, solidaritas, dan identitas kolektif umat Kristen di Purwodadi. Di sisi lain, penelitian ini juga menantang gereja, masyarakat adat, dan pemangku kepentingan lainnya untuk merancang pendekatan yang menghormati tradisi lokal sambil tetap berlandaskan prinsip-prinsip iman Kristen. Dalam skala yang lebih luas, studi ini membuka ruang dialog antara budaya dan agama, serta menjadi model transformasi yang relevan untuk tradisi-tradisi lain dalam konteks masyarakat plural Indonesia. / Christian Religious Education (PAK) is an effort to shape the understanding, beliefs, values, and practices of Christian life rooted in the Bible. However, the application of PAK values in societies rich in local traditions, such as the slametan tradition in Javanese culture, often raises tensions. The slametan tradition, which is full of values of togetherness, gratitude, and respect for God and others, is often considered to be in conflict with the values of the Gospel due to the inherent influence of ancestral beliefs. This tension creates a dilemma between efforts to preserve local traditions and the desire to practice Christian faith in full. This research uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach through interviews, observation, and documentation to analyze how these values metamorphose and are adapted into a framework for Christian religious education. The result of the research is a structural foundation, meaning and principles as well as value metamorphosis that shows that the values in slametan, such as togetherness through praying together and sharing blessings, can be adapted into the practice of Christian religious education, for example in the form of thanksgiving worship, prayer fellowship, and service of love. This transformation process makes the value of local traditions an inculturation tool that enriches contextualized faith learning. This study concludes that the analysis of slametan values in PAK has the potential to strengthen the spirituality, solidarity, and collective identity of Christians in Purwodadi. On the other hand, this study also challenges churches, indigenous communities and other stakeholders to design approaches that respect local traditions while remaining grounded in the principles of Christian faith. On a broader scale, this study opens a space for dialogue between culture and religion, and serves as a relevant model of transformation for other traditions in the context of Indonesia's plural society.
