Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the types of illocutionary acts used in the Jakarta Post i.e. what types of Illocutionary acts is used by the first political text dated on 2nd June, the second political text dated on 9thJune, the third political text dated on 16thJune, fourth political text dated on 23thJune, the Fifth political text dated on 30thJune and what the type dominantly is. This research used qualitative method and the design that is used in this study namely descriptive explanative design. To obtain the objectives, data were collected by selecting the texts. There are 100 data analysis political texts on the Jakarta Post. In collecting the data, this study applies document review with newspapers as the instrument of collecting the data. The technique of data analysis is used through the process of transcript texts and reducing the text by process of selecting, reading, analyzing, and explaining, after that displaying the data and at last drawing the conclusions. The result of the data analysis showed that there are four kinds of illocutionary acts found on political text in the Jakarta Post such as representative, directive, commissive, and expressive that found in the political texts. The total percentage, representative is about 45%, directive is about 28%, commissive is about 22%, and expressive is about 5%. The most dominant illocutionary acts found in the political text is representative illocutionary acts. Even though, there is only four kinds of illocutionary act found political texts on the Jakarta post. There are some illocutionary acts forms which are not found in political texts on the Jakarta post, such as admitting, denying ,ordering, forbidding, swearing, volunteering, inviting, apologizing, deploring and congratulating. Key words: Illocutionary acts, political texts, the jakarta post Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki jenis tindakan ilokusi yang digunakan dalam Jakarta Post yaitu apa jenis ilokusi bertindak digunakan oleh teks politik pertama tanggal 2 juni, teks politik kedua tanggal 9 juni, teks politik ketiga tanggal 16 june, teks politik keempat tanggal 23 june, teks politik Kelima tanggal 30 juni dan apa jenis tipe ilokusi yang dominan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu, desain deskriptif penjelasan . Untuk mendapatkan tujuan, data dikumpulkan dengan memilih teks. Ada 100 analisis data teks politik di Jakarta Post. Dalam pengumpulan data, penelitian ini berlaku tinjauan dokumen dengan koran sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan melalui proses teks transkrip dan mengurangi teks dengan proses memilih, membaca, menganalisis, dan menjelaskan, setelah itu menampilkan data dan akhirnya menarik kesimpulan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada empat jenis ilokusi bertindak ditemukan di teks politik di Jakarta Post seperti representatif, direktif, komisif, dan ekspresif yang ditemukan dalam teks-teks politik. Total persentase merupakan representative sekitar 45%, direktif sekitar 28%, komisif sekitar 22%, dan ekspresif sekitar 5%. Dan tindakan ilokusi yang paling dominan ditemukan dalam teks politik tindakan ilokusi representatif. Meskipun, hanya ada empat jenis tindakan ilokusi ditemukan teks-teks politik di Jakarta Post. Ada beberapa ilokusi bertindak bentukbentuk yang tidak ditemukan dalam politik teks di dalam Jakarta Post, seperti mengakui, menyangkal, memesan, melarang, bersumpah, sukarela, taruhan, meminta maaf, menyambut, keberatan, menyesal, memberi selamat.
