Abstract

ABSTRAK PERAN GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA KRISTEN DALAM MENGAJARKAN MODERASI BERAGAMA TERHADAP PENINGKATAN TOLERANSI PESERTA DIDIK DI SMA NEGERI 74 JAKARTA Chichi Margareta Ginting 2024, Prodi Pendidikan Agama Kristen, FKIP-UKI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam mengajarkan moderasi beragama terhadap peningkatan toleransi peserta didik di SMA Negeri 74 Jakarta. Dalam wawancara awal dengan guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen, dikatakan bahwa tingkat toleransi peserta didik cukup baik, tetapi masih diperlukan perbaikan karena masih ditemukan peserta didik yang beragama Kristen dan non- Kristen yang bersikap eksklusif dan belum memahami prinsip moderasi beragama. Maka dari itu, peran guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen sangat penting dalam mengubah pemikiran peserta didik menjadi praktik moderasi beragama. Dalam penelitian ini, metode kualitatif dengan tipe deskriptif digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dari 1 guru dan 9 peserta didik di SMA Negeri 74 Jakarta. Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi adalah sumber data yang digunakan dalam metode ini, maka ditemukan hasil dari 10 responden bahwa:1). Dalam pembelajaran moderasi beragama, guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen sudah mengetahui perannya sebagai seorang pendidik, yang menjadikan pembelajaran moderasi beragama memberikan keteladanan dan memahami perbedaan. Selain itu secara teoritis guru pendidikan Agama Kristen telah mengajarkan moderasi beragama dengan memberikan contoh berkomunikasi dengan guru yang berbeda agama. 2). Peningkatan toleransi peserta didik di SMA Negeri 74 Jakarta terlihat ditengah perbedaan agama yang ada dapat disimpulkan seluruh responden bisa menganggap dirinya pelajar Kristen di tengah perbedaan agama yang ada. Dimana mereka dapat mencerminkan sikap yang baik dan positif di tengah keberagaman, menghargai sahabat yang berbeda agama. Dan responden juga mengatakan bahwa mereka tidak pernah melakukan diskriminasi ketika bergabung dengan yang beragama lain. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen sudah mengetahui perannya sebagai seorang pendidik dalam mengajarkan moderasi beragama. Dan peningkatan toleransi peserta didik di SMA Negeri 74 Jakarta bisa menganggap dirinya pelajar Kristen di tengah perbedaan agama yang ada. Dimana mereka dapat mencerminkan sikap yang baik dan positif di tengah keberagaman, menghargai sahabat yang berbeda agama. Kata Kunci: Peran Guru PAK, Moderasi Beragama, Toleransi / ABSTRACT THE ROLE OF CHRISTIAN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TEACHERS IN TEACHING RELIGIOUS MODERATION TOWARDS INCREASING STUDENT TOLERANCE AT SMA NEGERI 74 JAKARTA Chichi Margareta Ginting 2024, Christian Religious Education Study Program, FKIP-UKI This research aims to determine the role of Christian Religious Education teachers in teaching religious moderation to increase student tolerance at SMA Negeri 74 Jakarta. In the initial interview with the Christian Religious Education teacher, it was said that the students' level of tolerance was quite good, but improvement was still needed because there were still Christian and non Christian students who were exclusive and did not understand the principles of religious moderation. Therefore, the role of Christian Religious Education teachers is very important in changing students' thinking into practicing religious moderation. In this research, qualitative methods with a descriptive type were used to collect data from 1 teacher and 9 students at SMA Negeri 74 Jakarta. Observation, interviews and documentation are the data sources used in this method, so the results from 10 respondents found that: 1). In learning religious moderation, the Christian Religious Education teacher already knows his role as an educator, which makes learning religious moderation provide an example and understand differences. Apart from that, theoretically Christian religious education teachers have taught religious moderation by providing examples of communicating with teachers of different religions. 2). The increase in tolerance of students at SMA Negeri 74 Jakarta can be seen amidst existing religious differences. It can be concluded that all respondents can consider themselves Christian students amidst existing religious differences. Where they can reflect a good and positive attitude amidst diversity, respecting friends of different religions. And respondents also said that they had never discriminated when joining other religions. Thus, it can be concluded that Christian Religious Education teachers already know their role as educators in teaching religious moderation. And increased tolerance of students at SMA Negeri 74 Jakarta can consider themselves Christian students amidst existing religious differences. Where they can reflect a good and positive attitude amidst diversity, respecting friends of different religions. Keywords: Role of PAK Teachers, Religious Moderation, Tolerance
