Abstract

Kesenian Tarawangsa merupakan salah satu warisan budaya masyarakat Sunda yang memiliki nilai sejarah, spiritual, dan sosial yang tinggi. Namun, di tengah arus modernisasi, keberadaan kesenian ini semakin terpinggirkan dan berisiko mengalami kepunahan. Skripsi karya ini bertujuan untuk mendokumentasikan kesenian Tarawangsa melalui media video dokumenter dengan menerapkan teknik pengambilan audio visual yang tepat dan efektif. Teknik pengambilan audio visual dilakukan secara natural. Pengambilan gambar dilakukan secara natural menggunakan berbagai teknik sinematografi seperti extreme wide shot, medium shot, dan close up untuk menampilkan suasana pedesaan, aktivitas seni, serta ekspresi para pelaku budaya. Dari sisi audio, digunakan teknik ambient sound, direct sound, dan voice over untuk menciptakan atmosfer yang mendukung penyampaian pesan budaya secara emosional. Hasil karya ini berupa video dokumenter berdurasi ±20 menit yang tidak hanya merekam keberadaan Tarawangsa, tetapi juga menggambarkan keterkaitan antara musik tradisional, alam, dan identitas budaya masyarakat Sunda. Dokumenter ini diharapkan dapat menjadi media edukatif, arsip budaya, dan sumber inspirasi bagi generasi muda serta para pegiat seni dan komunikasi visual dalam upaya pelestarian budaya lokal. Kata Kunci: Tarawangsa, dokumenter,teknik audio visual, kesenian Sunda, pelestarian budaya / Tarawangsa art is one of the cultural heritages of the Sundanese people that has high historical, spiritual, and social values. However, in the midst of modernization, the existence of this art is increasingly marginalized and at risk of extinction. This thesis aims to document Tarawangsa art through documentary video media by applying appropriate and effective audio-visual recording techniques. The methods used in creating this work include pre-production, production, and post-production stages, with a narrative and observational approach. The shooting was done naturally using various cinematography techniques such as extreme wide shots, medium shots, and close-ups to display the rural atmosphere, art activities, and expressions of cultural actors. In terms of audio, ambient sound, direct sound, and voice over techniques were used to create an atmosphere that supports cultural messages emotionally. The result of this work is a documentary with a duration of ± 20 minutes that not only records the existence of Tarawangsa, but also describes the relationship between traditional music, nature, and the cultural identity of the Sundanese people. This documentary is expected to be an educational media, cultural archive, and source of inspiration for the younger generation as well as art and visual communication activists in efforts to preserve local culture.
