Abstract

Salah satu proses manufaktur otomotif adalah proses stamping. Proses stamping merupakan proses mengubah bentuk besi lembaran menjadi besi yang memiliki kontur dan dimensi sesuai alat cetak yang diinginkan (Punch & Die). Proses stamping memerlukan mesin stamping, tools (Dies), dan manusia sebagai alat handling material sebelum dan sesudah proses stamping. Semakin berkembangnya zaman perusahaan dituntut untuk meningkatkan keefektifan kapasitas produksi dan cost reduction agar dapat bersaing dengan sesama rivalnya. PT. XYZ merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur yang fokus pada pengerjaan stamping dan welding. Sebagian besar proses stamping masih menggunakan tenaga manusia untuk handling material dan proses stamping. Tenaga manusia ini memiliki kekurangan baik dalam segi safety, cost, capacity, dan efficiency. Maka improvisasi yang bisa diterapkan adalah mengganti tenaga manusia dengan robot. Capaian kapasitas produksi meningkat sebanyak 40% dengan menggunakan robot untuk handling part. Kebutuhan operator dapat dikurangi dari 11 menjadi 3 orang. Dengan berkurangnya jumlah operator nilai cost reduction tiap bulannya adalah Rp 64.981.000,-/One of the automotive manufacturing processes is the stamping process. Stamping is the process of changing the shape of sheet iron into iron that has the contours and dimensions according to the desired tool (Punch & Die). The stamping process requires stamping machines, tools (Dies), and humans as material handling tools before and after the stamping process.As the times progress, companies are required to increase the effectiveness of production capacity and cost reduction in order to compete with fellow rivals. PT. XYZ. is a company engaged in manufacturing that focuses on stamping and welding work. Most of the stamping processes still use human power for material handling and stamping parts. This human power has many shortcomings in terms of safety, cost, capacity, and efficiency. Then the improvisation that can be applied is to replace human power with robots. Achievement of production capacity increased by 40% by using robots for handling parts. Operator requirements can be reduced from 11 to 3 people. With the reduced number of operators, the monthly cost reduction value is IDR. Rp 64.981.000,
