Abstract

Bandar udara Mali-Alor merupakan bandar udara yang terletak di Kelurahan Kabola, Kecamatan Kabola, Kabupaten Alor Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia. dengan luas area terbangun 48.000,00 m2 (Data Kementrian Perhubangan). bandara juga merupakan gerbang utama pengunjung wisatawan. “Salah satu pengembangan pada Pulau Alor adalah potensi pariwisata yang akan mendatangkan wisatawan domestik maupun internasional, yaitu Taman Laut Alor yang menjadi destinasi unggulan di provinsi kepulauan tersebut”. . Selain itu alor juga memiliki banyak keragaman Budaya yang sangat unik baik dari seni tradisional, tarian daerah, rumah adat, warisan tenun, dan kebudayaan tradisonal lainnya. Dalam upaya pelestarian budaya tersebuat perlu adanya suatu kajian konsep transpomasi bentuk arsitektur lokal dan modern pada desain bangunan terminal bandara mali di alor juga memperhatikan urgensi yang dapat diintegrasikan melalui identitas lokal budaya dengan kebutuhan fungsi, estetika. Namun hal tersebut masih belum terlihat dari desain bandara mali alor yang menerapkan kosep lokalitas budaya masyarakat alor. Sehingga hal tersebut menimbulkan kurangnya edukasi dan minat pengunjung wisatawan yang datang ke bandara tersebut.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1. Mencari konsep transformasi bentuk arsitektur lokal dan modern pada bangunan terminal Bandara Mali Alor 2. Menerapkan konsep arsitektur lokal dan modern yang dapat mencerminkan dan mempromosikan unsur-unsur budaya lokal yang kuat pada desain bangunan modern masa kini 3. Mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang dapat dipertimbangkan dalam penerapan konsep kajian tranformasi arsitektur lokal dan modern pada bangunan terminal bandara mali alor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan mengidentifikasi prinsip-prinsip dan analisis arsitektur lokal Alor, dengan pendekatan elemen- elemen desain modern sehingga dapat menciptakan bangunan yang memadukan identitas budaya lokal Alor dan kebutuhan desain modern masa kini. The airport is also the main gateway for tourist visitors. Apart from that, Alor also has a lot of very unique cultural diversity, including traditional arts, regional dances, traditional houses, weaving heritage and other traditional cultures. In an effort to preserve this culture, it is necessary to study the concept of transformation of local and modern architectural forms in the design of the Mali airport terminal building in Alor, also paying attention to the urgency that can be integrated through local cultural identity with functional and aesthetic needs. However, this is still not visible from the design of the Mali Alor airport which applies the concept of cultural locality of the Alor community. So this causes a lack of education and interest in tourists coming to the airport. The aim of this research is 1. Looking for a concept for transforming local and modern architectural forms in the Mali Alor Airport terminal building 2. Apply local and modern architectural concepts that can reflect and promote strong local cultural elements in today's modern building designs 3. Identify factors that can be considered in applying the concept of local and modern architectural transformation studies to the Mali Alor airport terminal building. This research uses a qualitative method by identifying the principles and analysis of Alor's local architecture, using a modern design elements approach so as to create a building that combines Alor's local cultural identity and today's modern design needs.
