Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini dirancang untuk: (1) mengetahui pengaruh karakter guru terhadap sarana prasarana sekolah yang dimiliki SMK LMC di Tapanuli Selatan, (2) mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi guru terhadap sarana prasarana sekolah yang dimiliki SMK LMC di Tapanuli Selatan, (3) mengetahui pengaruh karakter guru dan kompetensi guru secara bersama-sama terhadap pengoptimalan sarana prasarana sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Metode deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini karena pada kesempatan ini ingin diperoleh gambaran secara faktual tentang bagaimana karakter guru dan kompetensi guru SMK LMC di Tapanuli Selatan. Populasi penelitian adalah semua guru yang mengajar di SMK LMC. Pada penelitian ini, guna memperoleh data terkait sarana prasarana sekolah, karakter guru dan kompetensi guru digunakan angket atau kuisioner yang telah divalidasi oleh expert judgement sebagai instrumen penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif karena penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa: (1) tidak ada pengaruh karakter guru dengan pengoptimalan sarana dan prasarana sekolah SMK LMC di Tapanuli Selatan, (2) ada pengaruh kompetensi guru dengan pengoptimalan sarana dan prasarana sekolah SMK LMC di Tapanuli Selatan, (3) tidak ada pengaruh karakter guru dengan pengoptimalan sarana dan prasarana sekolah SMK LMC tetapi ada pengaruh kompetensi guru dengan pengoptimalan sarana dan prasarana sekolah SMK LMC di Tapanuli Selatan. Kata kunci: karakter guru, kompetensi guru, pengoptimalan sarana prasarana sekolah. / The purpose of this study was designed for : (1) know the influence of teacher character of school infrastructure owned by SMK LMC in South Tapanuli, (2) know the influence of teacher competence on school infrastructure owned by SMK LMC in South Tapanuli, (3) know the influence of teacher character and teacher competence together to optimize school infrastructure. .This research is a descriptive research. Descriptive method used in this research because on this occasion want to get factual picture about how teacher character and competence of teacher of SMK LMC in South Tapanuli. The study population is all teachers who teach at SMK LMC. In this study, to obtain data related to school infrastructure, teacher character and teacher competence used questionnaires or questionnaires that have been validated by expert judgment as research instrument. Data analisis using descriptive statistics because this research is quantitative research. The results of this study obtained that: (1) there is no influence of teacher character with the optimization of SMK LMC school facilities and infrastructure in South Tapanuli, (2) there is influence of teacher competence with optimizing facilities and infrastructure of SMK LMC school in South Tapanuli, (3) there is no influence of teacher character with the optimization of SMK LMC school facilities and infrastructure but there is influence of teacher competence with optimization of SMK LMC school facilities and infrastructure in South Tapanuli.
