Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan budaya disiplin dengan perilaku belajar, hubungan motivasi dengan perilaku belajar, dan hubungan budaya disiplin dan motivasi dengan perilaku belajar siswa. Budaya disiplin merupakan salah satu faktor yang penting dalam meningkatkan perilaku belajar siswa di sekolah. Hal ini dapat dilihat melalui sikap siswa dalam mematuhi peraturan di sekolah. Begitu juga faktor motivasi belajar siswa. Siswa dapat menunjukkannya melalui sikap belajar yang tinggi di sekolah. Akan tetapi budaya disiplin dan motivasi belajar siswa di Sekolah Victory Plus masih terlihat rendah. Pernyataan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh sikap sejumlah siswa yang menganggap peraturan-peraturan di sekolah kurang penting untuk diikuti. Serta kurangnya motivasi untuk lebih berprestasi dan menguasai sasaran pembelajaran bagi beberapa siswa. Ternyata perilaku belajar sejumlah siswa di Sekolah Victory Plus juga terlihat kurang maksimal. Penelitian diawali pada bulan Maret 2013, sejak penulis memulai penulisan tesis. Metode penelitian yang dipilih oleh penulis pada tesis ini adalah dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Siswa-siswa yang menjadi sampel penelitian adalah keseluruhan populasi yaitu siswa-siswa kelas V Sekolah Victory Plus sebanyak 56 siswa dari 3 kelas. Metode penelitian adalah metode penelitian korelasional (correlational research) dan metode penelitian survei, sehingga dapat melihat hubungan antara variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat. Variabel bebas yang diteliti oleh penulis adalah perilaku belajar dan variabel terikat yang diteliti adalah budaya disiplin dan motivasi belajar siswa. Penulis memberikan kuesioner atas variabel budaya disiplin, motivasi, dan perilaku belajar kepada siswa kelas VI sebagai sampel ujicoba dan siswa kelas V sebagai sampel penelitian. Uji validitas yang dilakukan penulis adalah dengan mengkorelasikan masing-masing pernyataan dengan jumlah skor untuk masing-masing variabel. Teknik korelasi yang digunakan adalah teknik korelasi pearson. Sedangkan untuk menguji reliabilitas digunakan uji konsistensi internal dengan menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbac. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara budaya disiplin dengan perilaku belajar siswa, motivasi dengan perilaku belajar siswa, dan budaya disiplin dan motivasi dengan perilaku belajar siswa kelas V. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, maka budaya disiplin dan motivasi siswa kelas V di Sekolah Victory Plus perlu ditingkatkan sehingga perilaku belajar siswapun meningkat. Kata Kunci: Budaya disiplin, motivasi, perilaku belajar. / The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between the discipline culture and the learning behaviour, the relationship between motivation and the learning behaviour, and the relationship between discipline culture and motivation with students' learning behaviour. Discipline culture is one of the important factors in improving student behaviour in school. It can be seen through the attitudes of students in complying with school rules. The student motivation is another factor. Students can show this through high quality learning behaviour at school. The discipline culture and motivation to study at Sekolah Victory Plus still appears low. This statement is driven by the attitude of some students who consider following school rules unimportant. Some students have lack of motivation to perform better and to master the learning objectives. Learning behaviour is still low for a number of students at Sekolah Victory Plus. The writer started this research in March 2013. The research method for this thesis is the quantitative approach. The population for this research is 56 students from 3 classes of grade 5. The writer used the whole population for the research. The writer used correlational research (correlational research) and survey methods, so the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable could be seen. The independent variable studied by the writer was learning behaviour and the dependent variables were the discipline culture and motivation. The writer gave questionnaires about the discipline culture variable, motivation variable, and learning behaviour variable to grade 6 students for the trial and grade 5 students for the research. The validity test is to correlate each statement with the total score for each variable. The writer used the Pearson correlation technique for the correlation. For reliability, the writer used an internal consistency test using the Alpha Cronbac formula. The findings of this research conclude that there is a positive and significant relationship between discipline culture and students’ learning behaviour, there is a positive and significant relationship between motivation and students’ learning behaviour, and there is a positive and significant relationship between discipline culture, motivation and students’ learning behaviour. Based on this research, the discipline culture and motivation of students at Sekolah Victory Plus needs to be improved so the students’ learning behaviour can be improved.
