Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya hubungan antara Budaya Organisasi dan Motivasi dengan Kinerja Guru TK dan SD Sekolah Victory Plus Bekasi. Meratanya kinerja guru TK dan SD Sekolah Victory Plus merupakan harapan dari semua pihak, karena dari kinerja gurulah harapan akan kualitas siswa dan sekolah dapat terwujud. Namun demikian, permasalahan yang terjadi adalah tidak meratanya kinerja para guru TK dan SD di Sekolah Victory Plus. Mengingat kinerja merupakan perbuatan, maka peneliti ingin mencari tahu hubungan antara kinerja dengan variabel yang kiranya berhubungan. Budaya organisasi dan motivasi dipilih sebagai variabel X1 dan X2 karena kedua variabel tersebut mempunyai hubungan dengan “perbuatan”. Budaya organisasi melahirkan norma, dimana norma lah yang menjadi salah satu pedoman bagaimana berperilaku. Sedangkan motivasi adalah keinginan yang merangsang seseorang untuk melakukan sesuatu. Penelitian ini dilakukan sejak bulan Maret 2013, sejak penulis memulai penulisan tesis. Metode penelitian yang dipilih adalah dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 66 orang guru TK dan SD Sekolah Victory Plus, sedangkan sampel yang ditentukan dengan uji Slovin, sebanyak 57 orang. Untuk uji coba kuesioner, peneliti mengumpulkan hasil kuesioner dari 15 orang. Karena keterbatasan jumlah, maka peneliti meminta bantuan dari beberapa guru divisi Secondary School , setelah melalui beberapa pertimbangan dan hasil diskusi dengan para dosen pembimbing Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dengan pendekatan korelasional (correlational research) untuk melihat hubungan antara variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat. Variabel bebas yang diteliti oleh penulis adalah kinerja guru, sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah budaya organisasi dan motivasi guru. Penulis memberikan kuesioner atas ketiga variabel kepada guru-guru TK dan SD Sekolah Victory Plus, Bekasi. Uji validitas yang dilakukan adalah dengan mengkorelasikan masing-masing pernyataan dengan jumlah skor untuk masingmasing variabel. Teknik korelasi yang digunakan adalah teknik korelasi Pearson, sedangkan untuk menguji reliabilitas digunakan uji konsistensi internal dengan menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif signifikan antara budaya organisasi dengan kinerja guru, motivasi guru dengan kinerja guru dan budaya organisasi dan motivasi guru secara bersama-sama, dengan kinerja guru. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, maka budaya organisasi dan motivasi kerja guru perlu ditingkatkan sehingga kinerja gurupun meningkat. Kata Kunci: Budaya Organisasi, Motivasi, Kinerja. / This research investigates the relationship between the Organization Culture and Motivation with Teacher’s Performance of The Early Childhood Education and Primary School, Sekolah Victory Plus – Bekasi. The even performance of the Early Childhood Education and Primary School teachers, Sekolah Victory Plus, is the expectation of everyone, because from the teacher’s performance, the expectation of the students and school’s quality can be realized. However, the real condition tells the opposite. The teacher’s performance is uneven. Referring to one of the definitions of performance, which is “action”, the writer wanted to investigate the relationship between performances with other variables that has relationship with “action”. Organization culture and motivation then were selected. Organization culture creates norms, which is used to be the guideline on how to behave or act. While motivation means the willingness that drives someone to do something. The research on these variables started from March 2013, since the writer started writing the thesis. The methodology of this research is using quantitative approach. The population of the research consists of 66 Early Years and Primary School teachers of Sekolah Victory Plus., while the sample which selected using the Slovin formula are 57 teachers. For the trial, the writer collected information results of the questionnaires from 15 people. Due to the lack of number of people, the writer asked support from some teachers of the Secondary School, after considering many aspects and based on the approval from the mentor lecturers. The method used in this research is survey method with the correlational approach to describe the relation between the independent variables with the dependent variable. The independent variable is teachers’ performance, while the dependent variables are organization culture and motivation. The writer spread questionnaires to the Early Years and Primary School teachers, with three variables. The validity test of the research was done by correlating each statement with the scores for each variable. The correlation technique used is the Pearson Correlation technique. While to test the reliability, this research used internal consistency test with the Alpha Cronbach formula. The result of the research was a conclusion that there is a positive and significant relationship between organization culture and teacher’s performance, there is also a positive and significant relationship between motivation and teacher’s performance and a positive and significant relationship between organization culture, motivation and the performance of the Early Years and Primary School teachers of Sekolah Victory Plus, Bekasi. Beased on the result, the organization behavior and motivation need to be improved so that the teacher’s performance can be improved. Key words: Organization Culture, Motivation, Performance
