Abstract
Latar belakang: Akne vulgaris adalah kondisi kulit paling umum yang mempengaruhi remaja fase akhir di seluruh dunia. Peningkatan hormon pada menstruasi dapat mempengaruhi eksaserbasi kulit serta memicu Akne vulgaris pada beberapa jumlah perempuan dewasa muda usia 16-21 tahun. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisa hubungan angka kejadian akne vulgaris dengan menstruasi pada mahasiswi. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan rancangan cross sectional dengan sampel 81 mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Kristen Indonesia angkatan 2019 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi (terdaftar sebagai mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Kristen Indonesia, berusia 16-22 tahun, pernah menderita Akne vulgaris). Data yang dikumpulkan merupakan data primer dengan pengisian kuesioner. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji Chi-square, dengan tingkat kemaknaan p<0,05. Hasil penelitian: Kejadian akne vulgaris paling banyak ditemukan pada waktu sebelum menstruasi (71,6%). Usia terbanyak yang pernah menderita akne vulgaris adalah 20 tahun (45,7%), riwayat orang tua kurang mempengaruhi akne vulgaris (67,9%), kosmetik berpengaruh pada akne vulgaris (71,6%), faktor stress berpengaruh pada akne vulgaris (95,1%), jenis makanan yang berpengaruh pada akne vulgaris paling banyak yaitu kacang-kacangan (23,46%). Ada hubungan angka kejadian Akne vulgaris dengan menstruasi pada mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Kristen Indonesia angkatan 2019 (p=0,043). Kesimpulan: Angka Kejadian akne vulgaris paling banyak ditemukan pada waktu sebelum menstruasi (30,8%) serta terdapat hubungan angka kejadian akne vulgaris dengan menstruasi pada mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Kristen Indonesia angkatan 2019. Kata kunci: Akne vulgaris, menstruasi. / Background: Acne vulgaris is the most common skin condition affecting late teens worldwide. Increased hormones in menstruation can affect exacerbations of the skin and trigger acne vulgaris affecting several young adult women aged 16- 21 years. In this study, an analysis of the relationship between the incidence of acne vulgaris and menstruation in female students was conducted. Methods: This study was an observational study with a cross-sectional design with a sample of 81 students of the Faculty of Medicine, Christian University of Indonesia, class 2019 who met the inclusion criteria (registered as students of the Faculty of Medicine, Christian University of Indonesia, aged 16-22 years, had suffered from acne vulgaris). The data collected is primary data by filling out a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-square test, with a significance level of p <0.05. Results: The incidence of acne vulgaris was mostly found at the time before menstruation (71.6%). Most of the age who had suffered from acne vulgaris was 20 years (45.7%), parental history had less influence on acne vulgaris (67.9%), cosmetics affected acne vulgaris (71.6%), stress factors affected acne vulgaris (95.1%), the most types of food that affected acne vulgaris were nuts (23.46%). There is a correlation between the incidence of acne vulgaris and menstruation in 2019 students of the Faculty of Medicine, Christian University of Indonesia (p = 0.043). Conclusion: The incidence rate of Acne vulgaris was mostly found at the time before menstruation (30.8%) and there was a correlation between the incidence of acne vulgaris and menstruation in students of the Faculty of Medicine, Christian University of Indonesia class 2019.
