Abstract
Tesis ini membahas tentang evaluasi penerapan kurikulum sekolah minggu usia 10-12 tahun pada perkembangan karakter anak di GKPA Simangumban, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami tingkat pemahaman guru sekolah minggu terhadap strategi pengajaran yang efektif untuk perkembangan karakter anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dan tehnik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, survei terhadap anak sekolah minggu, orang tua dan guru sekolah minggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi penerapan kurikulum sekolah minggu usia 10-12 tahun pada perkembangan karakter anak di gereja GKPA Simangumban belum memberikan dampak positif terhadap penerapan kurikulum sekolah minggu, seperti metode yang digunakan monoton sehingga anak-anak sekolah minggu tidak berminat ibadah sekolah minggu, guru sekolah minggu mengalami kesulitan memahami teks Alkitab, guru sekolah minggu tidak pernah melakukan evaluasi terhadap kurikulum yang diajarkan kepada anak sekolah minggu, masih menemukan anak sekolah minggu yang tidak berempati, dan anak sekolah minggu di gereja GKPA masih banyak ditemukan tidak jujur karena masih digunakan uang persembahan untuk jajan. Penelitian ini memberikan pandangan bahwa upaya pelaksanaan evaluasi kurikulum sekolah minggu usia 10-12 tahun pada perkembangan karakter anak di gereja GKPA Simangumban belum maksimal. Karena itu guru sekolah minggu perlu melakukan evaluasi terhadap penerapan kurikulum sekolah minggu untuk x Universitas Kristen Indonesia mengukur sejauhmana mereka memahami tujuan evaluasi tersebut pada perkembangan karakter anak usia 10-12 tahun, evaluasi penerapan kurikulum sekolah minggu memiliki tujuan utama untuk memperbaiki kinerja atau kreativitas guru sekolah minggu. Guru sekolah minggu menghadapi tantangan dalam menerapakan kurikulum, termasuk keterbatasan pengetahuan dan sarana prasarana. / This thesis discusses the evaluation of the implementation of the Sunday school curriculum for ages 10-12 years on the character development of children at GKPA Simangumban. This research aims to understand the level of understanding of Sunday school teacher regarding effective teaching strategies for children’s character development. The method used in this research is a qualitive method with a case study approach and data collection teachiques of obsevation, interview, survei, of Sunday school children, parents and Sunday school teachers. The results of the research show that the evaluation implementation of the Sunday school curriculum aged 10-12 years on the development of children;s character at the GKPA Simangumban church has not had a positive impact on the implementation of the Sunday school curriculum, such as the method used is monotonous so that Sunday school have difficulty understanding the bible text, Sunday school teachers never evaluate the curriculum taught to Sunday school children, they still find Sunday school children who are not empathetic, and many Sunday school chidren at GKPA churches are still found to be dishonest because the stil use offering money, for snacks. This research provides the view that efforts to evaluate the Sunday school curriculum for ages 10-12 years on the character development of children at the GKPA Simangumban church have not been optimal. Therefore, Sunday school teachers need to carry out an evaluation of the implementation of the Sunday school curriculum to measure the extent to which they understand the purpuse of the evaluation in the character development of children aged 10-12 years.
