Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas layanan bimbingan kelompok melalui paradigma pedagogi Ignatian (reflektif) dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa yang mengalami motivasi rendah di kelas 8 SMP Bunda Hati Kudus Kota Wisata. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimen. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 22 siswa kelas VIII SMP Bunda Hati Kudus yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria motivasi belajar rendah yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang menerima layanan bimbingan kelompok melalui paradigma pedagogi Ignatian dan kelompok kontrol yang tidak menerima intervensi tersebut. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket motivasi belajar yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Layanan bimbingan kelompok dilakukan selama 4 sesi dengan menggunakan pendekatan reflektif yang menekankan pada kesadaran diri, pemahaman pribadi, dan pengambilan keputusan yang bertanggung jawab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam peningkatan motivasi belajar antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Meskipun terjadi peningkatan motivasi belajar pada kelompok eksperimen, hasil ini tidak cukup kuat untuk membuktikan efektivitas layanan bimbingan kelompok melalui paradigma pedagogi Ignatian karena nilai sig.2-tailed pretes dan postes 0,096 dan 0,1000 dimana nilai tersebut lebih besar dari 0,05. Ketidakefektifan ini disebabkan oleh keberagaman individu responden, termasuk adanya siswa dengan kebutuhan khusus yang memerlukan pendekatan individual yang lebih spesifik. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan reflektif dari paradigma pedagogi Ignatian mungkin memerlukan penyesuaian atau dukungan tambahan untuk dapat diimplementasikan secara efektif dalam upaya meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa terutama bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan adanya kajian lebih lanjut terkait faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi efektivitas layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan pendekatan ini, serta eksplorasi metode lain yang mungkin lebih sesuai dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan siswa di SMP Bunda Hati Kudus Kota Wisata. Kata kunci: Layanan bimbingan kelompok, Motivasi belajar, paradigma pedagogi Ignatian. / This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of group guidance services using the Ignatian (reflective) pedagogical paradigm in increasing the learning motivation of students who experience low motivation in grade 8 of Bunda Hati Suci Middle School, Wisata City. The research method used is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. The subjects of this research were 22 class VIII students of Bunda Sacred Heart Middle School who were selected based on the criteria of low learning motivation who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group who received group guidance services through the Ignatian pedagogical paradigm and the control group who did not receive this intervention. The research instrument used was a learning motivation questionnaire which had been tested for validity and reliability. Group guidance services are carried out over 4 sessions using a reflective approach that emphasizes self-awareness, personal understanding and responsible decision making. The results showed that there was no significant difference in increasing learning motivation between the experimental group and the control group. Even though there was an increase in learning motivation in the experimental group, these results were not strong enough to prove the effectiveness of group guidance services using the Ignatian pedagogical paradigm because the 2-tailed pretest and posttest sig. values were 0.096 and 0.1000, where these values were greater than 0.05. This ineffectiveness is caused by the diversity of individual respondents, including the existence of students with special needs who require a more specific individual approach. These results indicate that the reflective approach of the Ignatian pedagogical paradigm may require adjustments or additional support to be implemented effectively in an effort to increase student learning motivation, especially for students with special needs. This research recommends further study regarding factors that can influence the effectiveness of group guidance services using this approach, as well as exploration of other methods that may be more appropriate to the characteristics and needs of students at Bunda Hati Suci Middle School in Wisata City.
