Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti mengenai korelasi antara iklim kelas dan pembelajaran vocabulary pada siswa kelas 7 di SMPN 49 Jakarta. Jumlah partisipasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 72 siswa yang menggunakan metode random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen kuesioner Classroom Climate dan test kosakata. Analisis Deskriptif dengan menggunakan Pearson Product Moment Correlation serta analisis regresi telah dilakukan. Berdasarkan hasil data analisis, ditemukan bahwa r hitung (0.130) < rtable (0.231) dengan nilai signifikan yang lebih besar dari 0.05. Hasil tersebut mengindentifikasi bahwa tidak terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara iklim kelas dengan pembelajaran kosakata, namun tetap ada korelasi. Dengan hasil tersebut, peneliti menguji analisis regresi untuk mencari tahu pengaruh iklim kelas terhadap pembelajaran kosakata. Dari analisis ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi iklim kelas maka akan semakin naik juga hasil belajar siswa dalam kosakata. Ini menunjukkan bahwa iklim kelas yang baik akan mempengaruhi nilai pembelajaran kosakata pada murid, begitupun sebaliknya apabila iklim kelas tidak baik maka nilai pembelajaran dalam kosakata juga turun. The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation between classroom climate and learning vocabulary of the seventh grade students of SMPN 49 Jakarta. The total of participation was 72 students which were selected by random sampling. In order to collect the data, classroom climate questionnaire and vocabulary test were used. Descriptive statistic, Pearson product moment correlation and regression analysis were employed to analyze the data. Based on the data analysis, it was found that r.(0.130) < rtable (0.231) which significant value was higher than 0.05. Thus, it indicated that there was no significant correlation between classroom climate and learning vocabulary, but still there was a weak correlation. Accordingly, the regression analysis to check the influence of classroom climate towards learning vocabulary use showed that the higher the value of classroom climate, the higher the result of vocabulary score would be. It implies that a good classroom climate will affect the vocabulary score and vice verca.
