Abstract
Kata Kunci: Kerja sama Indonesia-Cina, Belt and Road Initiative, Ekonomi Indonesia, Hegemoni. / This research examines the impact of implementing the Belt and Road Initiative, which is an aggressive project initiated by China which is determined to expand economic development with the countries it passes through. The BRI launched by the Chinese Government is a long-term project. Since President Xi Jinping presented it in Indonesia and Kazakhstan in 2013, BRI has involved more than 60 countries in Asia, Africa and Europe and succeeded in attracting investment worth more than US$40 trillion. This project will connect countries in Asia, Africa and Europe with the development of platforms to assist provincial monetary coordination. Researchers will discuss and see the extent of the important impacts caused by this project, so that we can find out whether this BRI xix project is more beneficial for the country or vice versa. The emergence of BRI in Indonesia is a form of Chinese hegemony to expand its power in the countries involved in BRI. To investigate the impact of implementing the BRI program on Indonesia, researchers used qualitative methods with secondary data and hegemony theory to look at China's ceasefire through BRI. Indonesia, as a non-industrial country, is one of BRI's partner countries in working on its economy. In its implementation, the cooperation framework between the two countries through the BRI continues to develop and has an impact on the progress of Indonesia's infrastructure, even though Indonesia has to accept the impact of Chinese hegemony both in terms of economics, culture and the negative impacts of the implementation of the BRI which are dangerous for Indonesian state. Keywords: Indonesia-China cooperation, Belt and Road Initiative, Indonesian Economy, Hegemony
