Abstract

Sejalan dengan semakin meningkatnya penggunaan beton dalam pengerjaan konstruksi, maka akan semakin menuntut kita dalam usaha meningkatkan mutu beton itu sendiri. Seiring dengan berkembangnya teknologi dan banyaknya inovasi baru yang dilakukan, sudah banyak cara yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan mutu dari beton. Salah satu cara yang dilakukan adalah dengan pemberian bahan tambah (admixtures). Campuran beton dengan penambahan polivinil asetat dan superplasticizer merupakan jenis polimer yang dapat menghasilkan/memberikan kuat tekan dan kuat tarik yang lebih tinggi. Berdasarkan tujuan, campuran beton normal ditambahkan dengan polivinil asetat dan superplasticizer sehingga membentuk beton yang padat dan keras. Analisis pada pengujian kuat tekan beton didapatkan bahwa dengan penambahan 2,5% polivinil asetat (PVA) dan 1% superplasticizer (SP) kuat tekan yang dihasilkan sebesar 41,1 Mpa. Untuk kuat tarik belah beton didapatkan bahwa dengan penambahan 1% polivinil asetat (PVA) dan 1% superplasticizer (SP) kuat tarik yang dihasilkan sebesar 2,32 Mpa. Dari hasil yang didapat diketahui bahwa hasil kuat tekan beton dan kuat tarik belah beton lebih tinggi dari kuat tekan beton normal dan kuat tarik belah beton normal. Kata Kunci : polivinil. / As time passed by more increasing use of concrete in construction work, then it will demand us in the effort to improve the quality of concrete. Along evolving technologies and new innovations, so many ways are done to improve the quality of the concrete itself. One of the way were done is by giving an additional materials (admixtures). Mixed concrete by adding polyvinyl acetate and superplasticizer which a type of polymer that can give higher compressive strength of concrete and tensile strength of concrete. Based on the purpose, a normal mix concrete added with polyvinyl acetate and superplasticizer will create a solid concrete. From a compressive strength testing analysis it found that by adding 2,5% polyvinyl acetate and 1% superplasticizer will produce 41,1 Mpa. For tensile strength of concrete, found that by adding 1% polyvinyl acetate and 1% superplasticizer will produce 2,32 Mpa. From these results, it be known that compressive strength of concrete and tensile strength of concrete higher than normal compressive strength of concrete and normal tensile strength of concrete.
