Abstract

Skripsi ini membahas uji toksisitas ekstrak kulit dan daging buah naga merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus) dengan melihat efek toksik dari kulit dan daging buah naga. Buah naga merupakan salah satu tanaman dari genus Hylocereus. Beberapa informasi ilmiah tentang aktivitas dari tanaman genus ini adalah antioksidan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimental laboratorium, meliputi ekstraksi menggunakan pelarut aqubidest dengan uji BSLT (Brine Shrimp Letality Test) melalui 2 kali tahap pengulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Nilai LC50 daging buah naga merah terdapat pada konsentrasi 425 ppm dan pada kulit buah naga merah nilai LC50 terdapat pada konsentrasi 637,5 ppm. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa daging dan kulit buah naga merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus) telah menimbulkan efek toksik pada konsentrasi rendah (<1000 ppm). Kata Kunci : Buah Naga Merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus), Uji Toksisitas , BSLT The focus of this study is toxicity test of peels extract and flesh of red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) by looking at the toxic effects of the peels and flesh of dragon fruit. Dragon fruit is one of the plants of the genus Hylocereus. Some scientific information about the activity of these genus plants is antioxidants. The study was conducted using laboratory experimental methods, including extraction using aqubidest solvents with BSLT test (Brine Shrimp Letality Test) through 2 repetition stages. The results showed the LC50 value of flesh red dragon fruit was found at a concentration of 425 ppm and the peels of red dragon fruit LC50 value was found at a concentration of 637.5 ppm. This shows that the flesh and peels of red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) has a toxic effect at low concentrations (<1000 ppm).
