Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya peningkatan hasil belajar kimia antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional pada materi pokok Atom, Ion, dan Molekul di kelas VIII SMP Penuai. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Penuai Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017, yang berjumlah 93 orang. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas dengan jumlah sampel 34 orang yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling, yaitu kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dengan jumlah siswa 17 orang dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional dengan jumlah siswa 17 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa pre test dan post test. Uji persyaratan yang dilakukan adalah uji normalitas dan homogenitas. Berdasarkan hasil uji persyaratan, didapati kedua sampel normal dan homogen sehingga uji statistik yang dilakukan berikutnya adalah uji parametrik. Uji hipotesis penelitian dilaksanakan dengan independent t-test (one tailed) dengan taraf signifikansi 95%, data diolah menggunakan software Microsoft Excel dan SPSS 20 for windows. Berdasarkan analisis data dan uji hipotesis diperoleh hasil: (1) Kelas eksperimen memiliki rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 81,9, hasil ini lebih besar dari kelas kontrol yang memiliki ratarata hasil belajar sebesar 68,9. (2) Uji beda rata-rata menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara siswa pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan siswa pada kelas kontrol. Kata kunci : Hasil belajar, Independent t-Test, IPA, Kimia, Kooperatif, Metode Pembelajaran, One Tailed, Tipe Team Game Tournament (TGT). / This study aims to determine whether there is an increase in the results of studying chemistry among students who take the type cooperative learning TGT to the students who take the conventional teaching on the subject of Atoms, Ions, and Molecules in grade VIII SMP Penuai. This study is a quasi-experimental research. The study population was all students of SMP Penuai Academic Year 2016/2017, totaling 93 people. The study sample consisted of two classes with a sample of 34 people is determined by purposive sampling, that is class VIII A as class experiments using cooperative learning model TGT by the number of students 17 and VIII B as the control class using conventional learning models with a number of students 17 people. The research instruments are pre test and post test. Requirement tests are normality test and homogeneity test. Based on the results of the test requirements, both samples were found normal and homogeneous so that statistical tests performed next is parametric test. Hypothesis test for the learning outcomes carried out by independent t-test (one-tailed) with a 95% significance level, the data is processed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS 20 for windows. Based on data analysis and hypothesis test result: (1) Class experiments had an average of 81.9 learning outcomes, this result is greater than the control class has an average of 68.9 learning outcomes. (2) Test average difference showed that there is a significant increase in learning outcomes among students in the experimental class than students in the control class.
