Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan penggunaan media sosial tinder pada laki-laki dan perempuan dalam mencari pasangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori evolusi yang memprediksikan bahwa dalam mencari pasangan akan terdapat perbedaan kriteria pasangan yang dicari antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan penggunaan media sosial tinder pada laki-laki dan perempuan dalam mencari pasangan Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan sampel berjumlah 95 orang yang terdiri dari 41 laki-laki dan 54 perempuan. Sampel ini diambil dari populasi yaitu mahasiswa Universitas Kristen Indonesia dengan mempergunakan teknik sampel acak proporsional dengan jumlah sampel didapat dari rumus yamane dengan tingkat akurasi 10%. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis mempergunakan uji beda sampel bebas (Independent Sample T-test). Kata Kunci: Jenis Kelamin, Penggunaan Situs Online Dating, Pencarian Pasangan, Teori Evolusi, Uji Beda (Uji T Sampel Bebas). / The aim of this research is to determine whether there is difference in the use of social media’s Tinder in male and female to looking for mate. This research uses theory of evolution predict that to looking for mate there is a difference in the mate criteria between male and female. Hypothesis of this research is there’s difference the use of social media’s tinder in male and female in looking for mate. This research used survey method with samples 95 people which of 41 males and 54 females. Samples taken from population of students of Christian Indonesia University by proportional random sampling to the number of samples obtained from the formula Yamane with the level of 10% accuracy. Collecting data in this research was conducted using questionnaires and analyzed using independent sample t test.
