Abstract

Individu yang menghadapi keterbatasan fisik, yang sering disebut sebagai penyandang disabilitas, seringkali dipandang sebagai kurang produktif dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. Mereka kadang dianggap tidak mampu melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawab mereka dengan baik, sehingga hak-hak mereka sering diabaikan oleh masyarakat. Salah satunya adalah komunitas bisu tuli yang terletak di Desa Bengkala, Kabupaten Buleleng, Bali. Desa ini juga dikenal sebagai Desa Kolok, yang jumlahnya sekitar 2 persen dari total penduduk desa. Menariknya, masyarakat hidup berdampingan tanpa diskriminasi. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang dihadapi, penulis merancang teknik sinematografi dalam video dokumenter berjudul “The Deaf Village” dengan menggunakan komposisi gambar seperti Extreme Wide Shot, Long Shot, Close Up, dan Medium Shot. Setiap teknik dipilih untuk menyoroti kehidupan di Desa Bengkala, khususnya interaksi sosial Warga Kolok (tuli dan bisu). Proyek ini menghasilkan video dokumenter pendek dokumenter yang memanfaatkan teknik sinematografi untuk menggambarkan keunikan interaksi sosial di Desa Bengkala. Extreme Wide Shot untuk konteks keseluruhan desa, Long Shot untuk aktivitas sehari-hari, Close Up untuk ekspresi, serta Medium Shot untuk interaksi sosial. / Individuals who face physical limitations, often referred to as people with disabilities, are often seen as less productive in their daily activities. They are sometimes considered incapable of carrying out their duties and responsibilities properly, so their rights are often ignored by society. One such community is the deaf mute community located in Bengkala Village, Buleleng Regency, Bali. This village is also known as Kolok Village, which amounts to about 2 percent of the total village population. Interestingly, the community lives side by side without discrimination. Based on the problems faced, the author designed cinematographic techniques in the documentary video dokumenter entitled “The Deaf Village” by using image compositions such as Extreme Wide Shot, Long Shot, Close Up, and Medium Shot. Each technique was chosen to highlight life in Bengkala Village, especially the sosial interactions of Kolok (deaf and mute) residents. This project resulted in a documentary short video dokumenter that utilizes cinematographic techniques to illustrate the uniqueness of sosial interactions in Bengkala Village. Extreme Wide Shot for the context of the whole village, Long Shot for daily activities, Close Up for expressions, and Medium Shot for sosial interactions.
