Abstract
Cramming or overnight speed system (SKS), is the phenomenon of a fast learning system carried out the night before an exam as part of students' final tactics in facing exams, including remedial exams. Time pressure and the urgent need to study all the exam material that has not been mastered become the main priorities. Students who don't learn quickly overnight have a deeper understanding. They can dive into complex concepts, analyze them, and relate them to previous knowledge. In contrast, relying on SKS only understands the surface. The result is that understanding is not solid and sustainable and has physical and psychological side effects. Gender and place of residence are not necessarily the only main factors that influence medical students' academic performance, but medical faculties must still consider these matters when designing educational patterns that can accommodate the needs and care of their students. The design of this research is a cross-sectional study with a descriptive retrospective approach, taking as many as 96 respondents from basic data that researchers had previously collected the data was processed using SPSS (statistical program for social science) using Non-Parametric Independent-Samples Kruskal-Wallis test and Non Parametric Independent Method. – samples Mann-Whitney U test The statistical test results obtained from the profile of the results of the remedial exam scores were the highest, namely 75 with 9 students (9.3%), the highest number of remedial exam participants based on gender, namely female, amounted to 74 students (74.1% ), the highest number of remedial exam participants based on study time was in the evening (20.01 - 24.00 WIB), namely 31 students (32.3%), and the highest number of remedial exam participants based on exam time, namely 10.00 - 11.00 WIB, was 17 students 17.7%, there is no relationship between remedial exam scores and study time, there is a relationship between remedial exam scores and exam time, and there is no relationship between remedial exam scores and gender Keywords: Cramming, Study time, Exam Time, Gender and Remedial Exam Score, Student
