Sekolah Minggu merupakan pendidikan non-formal yang diselenggarakan oleh gereja yang diterapkan dalam suatu komunitas gereja Kristen untuk mengajarkan agama bagi jemaat kategori anak-anak. Di HKBP Bojong Menteng sudah memiliki buku panduan sekolah minggu yang digunakan guru sekolah minggu untuk mengajar anak sekolah minggu, tetapi buku panduan tersebut tidak membedakan anak sekolah minggu dengan tingkatan umur yang berbeda sehingga pendidikan agama Kristen yang diterima tidak sesuai dengan umur anak sekolah minggu serta buku panduan anak sekolah minggu tidak memenuhi kebutuhan anak sekolah minggu yang tidak mendapatkan pendidikan agama Kristen diSekolah. Masa anak-anak merupakan masa yang mengalami perubahan yang sangat besar baik secara fisik maupun emosionalnya menuju tahap remaja, anak 10-12 tahun sudah bisa diajak berdiskusi dalam masa sekarang atau apa yang terjadi dalam hidupnya, tetapi tidak dengan anak yang memiliki umur dibawah 10 tahun, sehingga dibutuhkan pelajaran, media serta cara penyampaian materi yang berbeda yang dilakukan oleh guru sekolah minggu untuk dapat diterima anak sekolah minggu sesuai dengan kapasitas otak masing-masing anak yang dikategorikan sesuai dengan umur. Untuk itu penelitian ini Pengembangan Prototype Modul Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen sebagai sarana dalam peningkatan pembelajaran pendidikan agama Kristen di Gereja dan Sekolah. Sebagai generasi penerus, anak sekolah minggu perlu mendapat perhatian dan perlu adanya upaya untuk meningkatkan kesadaran anak-anak akan pentingnya pendidikan agama Kristen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif untuk mengamati lingkungan sosial anak sekolah minggu di HKBP Bojong Menteng terkait tempat, guru sekolah minggu dan aktivitas anak sekolah minggu. Observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi digunakan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data dan reduksi data, menampilkan data, verifikasi data, dan menyimpulkan data digunakan sebagai teknik pengolahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku panduan mengajar sekolah minggu tidak menjawab kebutuhan pendidikan agama Kristen anak sekolah minggu di lingkup Gereja dan Sekolah serta buku panduan tidak membedakan antara anak sekolah minggu horong tiga dengan horong lainnya akibatnya tidak ada kespesifikan bahan ajar. Oleh karena itu disarankan untuk melakukan pengembangan prototype modul yang disesuaikan dengan umur anak sekolah minggu sehingga dapat menjawab kebutuhan pendidikan agama Kristen dilingkup Gereja dan Sekolah. Sunday School is non-formal education organized by the church which is implemented in a Christian church community to teach religion to children in the congregation. HKBP Bojong Menteng already has a Sunday school guidebook which is used by Sunday school teachers to teach Sunday school children, but the guidebook does not differentiate between Sunday school children of different age levels so that the Christian religious education they receive is not appropriate to the age of Sunday school children and the book The Sunday School Children's Guide does not meet the needs of Sunday School children who do not receive Christian religious education at school. Childhood is a period that experiences enormous changes both physically and emotionally towards the teenage stage, children aged 10-12 years can be invited to discuss the present or what is happening in their lives, but not with children under 10 years of age. so thatdifferent lessons, media and methods of delivering material are needed by Sunday school teachers to be accepted by Sunday school children according to each child's brain capacity which is categorized according to age. For this reason, this research is developing a prototype of a Christian religious education learning module as a means of improving Christian religious education learning in churches and schools. As the next generation, Sunday school children need attention and efforts are needed to increase children's awareness of the importance of Christian religious education. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods to observe the social environment of Sunday school children at HKBP Bojong Menteng regarding the place, Sunday school teachers and Sunday school children's activities. Observation, interviews and documentation are used as data collection techniques and data reduction, data display, data verification, and data conclusion are used as data processing techniques. The results of the research show that the Sunday school teaching guidebook does not address the Christian religious education needs of Sunday school children in the Church and School sphere and the guidebook does not differentiate between Sunday school children in Horong Tiga and other Horongs, as a result there is no specificity in teaching materials. Therefore, it is recommended to develop a prototype module that is adapted to the age of Sunday school children so that it can answer the needs of Christian religious education in churches and schools.
