Abstract

Meningkatnya jumlah lansia yang mengidap demensia menjadi perhatian khusus yang perlu diselesaikan. Minimnya fasilitas dan sosialisasi masyarakat terhadap kondisi demensia membuat angka pertumbuhan ODD (orang dengan demensia) di Indonesia terus meningkat. Oleh karena itu perlu diakomodasi oleh fasilitas yang dapat menunjang para lansia yang mengidap demensia supaya masyarakat dapt lebih menaruh perhatian dan bagi para lansia dapat memperlambat progresif kondisi tersebut. Perancangan dementia care center ini dilandaskan berdasarkan perilaku para lansia demensia sehingga penerapan tematik arsitektur perilaku di terapkan dalam berbagai macam aspek seperti misalnya penataan ruang layout terbuka. Tujuan dirancangnya fasilitas ini tidak lain adalah untuk membuat para lansia demensia ini dapat hidup normal seperti manusia biasa dan dapat memperlambat progresif kondisi demensia dengan cara menstimulasi fungsi kognitif mereka melalui berbagai fasilitas yang ada di dementia care center ini. kata kunci: demensia, kognitif, perilaku. / The increasing number of elderly people with dementia is a special concern that needs to be resolved. The lack of public facilities and outreach to the condition of dementia has made the growth rate of ODD (people with dementia) in Indonesia continue to increase. Therefore, it needs to be accommodated by facilities that can support the elderly who have dementia so that the community can pay more attention and the elderly can slow down the progression of this condition. The design of this dementia care center is based on the behavior of elderly people with dementia so that the thematic application of behavioral architecture is applied in various aspects such as open layout spatial planning. The purpose of designing this facility is none other than to enable these elderly dementia people to live normally like ordinary people and to slow down the progression of dementia by stimulating their cognitive function through the various facilities in this dementia care center. keywords: dementia, cognitive, behavior
