Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bukti empiris tentang profesionalitas guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen yang melakukan perannya sebagai penafsir iman dan pengkhotbah. Peneliti ingin menggali informasi apakah guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen menyadari dan memahami perannya sebagai penafsir iman dan kemampuannya sebagai pengkhotbah. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada guru-guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen yang mengajar pada jenjang Sekolah Dasar hingga Sekolah Menengah Atas di berbagai daerah dan wilayah di Indonesia. Guru-guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen yang menjadi informan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 14 orang yang merupakan alumni Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Kristen Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilimu Pendidikan Universitas Kristen Indonesia yang lulus antara tahun 2011-2020. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen sangat menyadari perannya sebagai penafsir iman, yang dibuktikan dengan konsistensinya melakukan penelusuran mendalam ayat Alkitab dalam mempersiapkan bahan ajar. Ditemukan juga bahwa guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen sebagai pengkhotbah di akui sebagai peran dan tugas yang tidak terpisahkan dari profesinya. Hal itu dibuktikan dengan seringnya mendapat kepercayaan dari sekolah, gereja, dan komunitas Kristen untuk berkhotbah. Inilah bukti bahwa guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen mempunyai peran yang multi di antaranya sebagai penafsir iman dan pengkhotbah. Kata Kunci: Profesionalitas, Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen, Penafsir Iman, Pengkhotbah. / This study aims to find empirical evidence about the professionalism of Christian Religious Education teachers who carry out their roles as interpreters of faith and preachers. The researcher wants to find out whether Christian Religious Education teachers are aware of and understand their role as interpreters of faith and their abilities as preachers. This research was conducted on Christian Religious Education teachers who teach at the elementary to high school levels in various regions and regions in Indonesia. There were 14 Christian Religious Education teachers who became informants in this study who were alumni of the Christian Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Teaching and Education, Indonesian Christian University who graduated between 2011-2020. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach. From the results of the study it was found that Christian Religious Education teachers are very aware of their role as interpreters of faith, as evidenced by their consistency in conducting in-depth searches of Bible verses in preparing teaching materials. It was also found that Christian Religious Education teachers as preachers were recognized as roles and duties that were inseparable from their profession. This is evidenced by the frequent trust from schools, churches and Christian communities to preach. This is proof that Christian Religious Education teachers have multiple roles including as interpreters of faith and preachers.
