Abstract

Jerawat merupakan permasalahan kulit yang paling sering terjadi pada setiap kalangan terutama remaja, di mana terjadi peradangan folikel pilosebasea yang muncul karena beberapa faktor seperti faktor hormonal, genetik, stres, faktor lingkungan, penggunaan kosmetik, obat-obatan, makanan dan adanya kebiasaan menekan lesi akne. Peradangan atau inflamasi pada jerawat dapat diatasi dengan berbagai cara salah satunya penggunaan tanaman herbal yaitu daun lidah buaya. Sudah banyak produk herbal dengan kandungan daun lidah buaya yang berkhasiat untuk pengobatan jerawat di mana dari efek samping relatif lebih aman dan harga yang lebih ekonomis. Pentingnya pengetahuan pada kalangan remaja terkait penggunaan daun lidah buaya akan menciptakan sikap positif dalam menggunakan daun lidah buaya sebagai upaya mengatasi jerawat. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan gambaran pengetahuan dan sikap siswa SMA Pangudi Luhur II Servasius mengenai penggunaan daun lidah buaya untuk mengatasi jerawat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei deskriptif melalui google form. Kuesioner berisikan 15 pernyataan untuk aspek pengetahuan, dan 10 pernyataan untuk aspek sikap. Jumlah 88 responden yang diambil dari siswa SMA Pangudi Luhur II Servasius berdasarkan rumus Slovin dengan teknik purposive sampling, kemudian data tersebut diolah menggunakan analisis univariat dengan SPSS. Didapatkan hasil yaitu mayoritas responden adalah perempuan (35,3%) dengan usia terbanyak 16 tahun (53,4%), dan kelas 12 (50%). Pada aspek pengetahuan didapatkan 73,9% siswa berkategori pengetahuan baik, serta untuk aspek sikap didapatkan 65% siswa berkategori baik dan 35% siswa berkategori cukup. Sebagian besar siswa Pangudi Luhur II Servasius memiliki pengetahuan baik dan setuju mengenai penggunaan daun lidah buaya untuk mengatasi jerawat. Kata Kunci: jerawat, lidah buaya, pengetahuan, sikap. / Acne is a skin problem that most often occurs in every group, especially adolescents, where there is inflammation of the pilosebaceous follicles that arise due to several factors such as hormonal factors, genetics, stress, environmental factors, the use of cosmetics, drugs, food and the habit of suppressing acne lesions. Inflammation or inflammation in acne can be overcome in various ways, one of which is the use of herbal plants, namely aloe vera leaves. There are many herbal products containing aloe vera leaves that are efficacious for the treatment of acne where the side effects are relatively safer and the prices are more economical. The importance of knowledge among adolescents regarding the use of aloe vera leaves will create a positive attitude in using aloe vera leaves as an effort to overcome acne. This study was conducted to provide an overview of the knowledge and attitudes of Pangudi Luhur II Servasius High School students regarding the use of aloe vera leaves to treat acne. This research used descriptive survey method through google form. The questionnaire contains 15 statements for the knowledge aspect, and 10 statements for the attitude aspect. A total of 88 respondents were taken from Pangudi Luhur II Servasius High School students based on the Slovin formula with purposive sampling technique, then the data was processed using univariate analysis with SPSS. The results showed that the majority of respondents were female (35.3%) with the highest age of 16 years (53.4%), and grade 12 (50%). In the knowledge aspect, 73.9% of students were categorized as good knowledge, and for the attitude aspect, 65% of students were categorized as good and 35% of students were categorized as fair. Most Pangudi Luhur II Servasius students have good knowledge and agree on the use of aloe vera leaves to treat acne. Keywords: acne, aloe vera, attitude, knowledge
