Abstract

Antioksidan sangat penting untuk kesehatan karena kerusakan yang dapat dicegahnya, termasuk proses penuaan dan penyakit degeneratif. Analisis fitokimia kulit jeruk siam Pontianak (Citrus nobilis var. microcarpa) menunjukkan adanya kandungan minyak atsiri, flavonoid, saponin, dan triterpenoid yang semuanya ber- fungsi sebagai antioksidan dengan cara mencegah pembentukan radikal bebas yang berlebihan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi kapasitas anti- oksidan dan keamanan ekstrak kulit jeruk siam. Metode maserasi digunakan untuk mengekstraksi minyak dari kulit jeruk siam dengan mencampur bagian kulit yang sama dan etanol 70% dan mendiamkan campuran tersebut selama selama 24 jam. Langkah selanjutnya adalah menempatkan filtrat di dalam evaporator vakum yang berputar. Aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak kulit jeruk siam pontianak diukur menggunakan metode DPPH (1,1-difenil-2-pikrilhidrazil) dengan berbagai konsen- trasi (10, 50, 100, 150, 200 ppm), dan toksisitasnya dievaluasi menggunakan BSLT (Brine Shrimp Lethality Test). Ekstrak (3, 6, 9, 12, 15 ppm) pada berbagai konsen- trasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan uji antioksidan diketahui nilai IC50 ekstrak etanol 70% sebesar 2,22 ppm termasuk dalam kategori antioksidan sangat kuat dan uji toksisitas menunjukan bahwa nilai LC50 sebesar 5,820 ppm yang artinya ekstrak etanol 70% kulit jeruk siam bersifat sitotoksik terhadap Artemia Salina Leach. Kata kunci: Antioksidan, Citrus nobilis var. macrocarpa, Ekstrak Etanol, Toksisitas. / Antioxidants are essential for health because of the damage that can be prevented, including the aging process and degenerative diseases. Phytochemical analysis of Pontianak Siamese orange (Citrus nobilis var.microcarpa) peel showed the presence of essential oils, flavonoids, saponins, and triterpenoids which all function as antioxidants by preventing the formation of excessive free radicals. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antioxidant capacity and safety of Siamese orange peel extract. The maceration method was used to extract oil from the peel of the Siamese orange by mixing equal parts of the peel and 70% ethanol and letting the mixture sit for 24 hours. The next step is to place the filtrate in a rotating vacuum evaporator. The antioxidant activity of Siam Pontianak Orange Peel Extract was measured using the DPPH method (1,1-diphenyl-2-pikrilhidrazyl) with various concentrations (10, 50, 100, 150, 200ppm), and its toxicity was evaluated using BSLT Brine Shrimp. Extracts (3, 6, 9, 12, 15ppm) at various concentrations. The results showed that the antioxidant test showed that the IC50 value of 70% ethanol extract was 2.22 ppm, included in the category of very strong antioxidants, and the Toxicity test showed that the LC50 value was 5.820 ppm ppm which means that the 70% ethanol extract of Siamese orange peel is cytotoxic to Artemia Salina Leach.
