Abstract

Kejang demam adalah kejang yang biasa dialami pada anak-anak yang berumur dari 6 bulan hingga umur 2 tahun yang biasanya suhu tubuh dari anak ini mencapai 38˚C. Kejang demam ini juga merupakan salah satu kelainan saraf yang sering terjadi pada bayi dan anak-anak. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana karakteristik pasien kejang demam pada RS Rawalumbu pada tahun 2018-2021 dari berbagai macam variabel. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif analitik dengan metode cross-sectional yang dilakukan pada bulan November tahun 2022. Hasil penelitian dari 60 responden diperoleh hasil sebanyak 38,3% kejang demam terjadi pada anak-anak dengan umur 1-<2 tahun, 75% penderita kejang demam terjadi pada anak laki-laki, 53,3% lamanya kejang demam pada kasus ini <5 menit, 56,7% penyebab kejang demam adalah ISPA, dan sebanyak 80% dari kasus kejang demam tidak memiliki riwayat kejang demam keluarga. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah keluarga harus mengetahui penanganan pertama dalam mencegah terjadinya komplikasi lebih lanjut. Kata Kunci : Anak–anak, Infeksi Saluran Pernafasan Akut, Karakteristik, Kejang Demam. / Febrile seizures are seizures that are commonly experienced in children aged from 6 months to 2 years old whose body temperature usually reaches 38˚C. Febrile seizures are also one of the most common neurological disorders in infants and children. The purpose of this study was to find out the characteristics of febrile seizure patients at Rawalumbu Hospital in 2018-2021 from various variables. The research design used a descriptive analytic cross-sectional method which was conducted in November 2022. The results obtained from 60 respondents were that 38.3% of febrile seizures occurred in children aged 1-<2 years, 75% of seizure sufferers Fever occurred in boys, 53.3% duration of febrile seizures in this case was <5 minutes, 56.7% of the causes of febrile seizures were ARI, and as many as 80% of cases of febrile seizures had no family history of febrile seizures. The conclusion of this study is that families must know the first treatment in preventing further complications. Keywords: Acute Respiratory Infection, Characteristics, Children, Febrile Seizures
