Abstract

Prestasi belajar dan disertai dengan motivasi yang baik menjadi kompetensi dasar yang harus dimiliki oleh mahasiswa kedokteran dalam menghasilkan seorang dokter yang sukses di masa depan. Pada penelitian ini mahasiswa akan diukur nilai rata- rata pada setiap komponen ujian remedial berdasarkan jenis kelamin, tempat tinggal, dan cramming. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui gambaran perbedaan prestasi akademik Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Kristen Indonesia berdasarkan jenis kelamin, tempat tinggal, dan cramming. Jenis penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional dengan pendekatan retrospektif. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat 2414 data nilai mahasiswa yang mengikuti ujian remedial yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi yaitu mahasiswa yang memiliki data demografi, cramming, dan nilai ujian remedial setiap komponen mata kuliah. Hasil penelitian dari 80 mahasiswa laki-laki yang tidak melakukan cramming dan tinggal di kos, 34 mahasiswa (42,5%) mendapat skor > 65 dengan skor rata-rata 75,29; sedangkan dari 154 mahasiswa laki-laki yang tinggal di rumahnya sendiri, 65 mahasiswa (42,20%) mendapat nilai > 65 dengan nilai rata-rata 77,03. Sedangkan pada sub kelompok mahasiswa laki- laki yang melakukan cramming dan tinggal di rumahnya sendiri (n=337) hasilnya adalah sebagai berikut: hanya 39,76% yang lulus ujian dengan skor rata-rata yang lebih rendah 75,47 ; sedangkan dari dari 168 mahasiswa laki-laki yang tinggal di kos, persentase kelulusan ujian remedial adalah 41,07% dengan nilai rata-rata 75,02. Data kelompok mahasiswa perempuan yang tidak melakukan cramming adalah sebagai berikut: yang tinggal di kost sebanyak 355 (total data) dan dari 355 ternyata hanya 155 (43,66%) yang berhasil lulus ujian dengan rata-rata skor 76,22. Sedangkan pada sub kelompok mahasiswa perempuan yang tidak melakukan cramming yang tinggal di rumah sendiri (n=270) hasilnya hanya 48,88% yang lulus ujian dengan nilai rata-rata 76,25. Sebaliknya, bagi mahasiswi yang berdomisili di kos persentase kelulusannya hanya 41,68% dan yang tinggal di rumah sendiri hanya lulus sebanyak 45,48% dengan skor rata-rata 75,33. Kesimpulan diperoleh mahasiswa perempuan dan tinggal dirumah sendiri memiliki nilai rata-rata yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan mahasiswa laki-laki yang tinggal di kos. Kata Kunci : Remedial, Jenis Kelamin, Tempat Tinggal, Cramming. / Learning achievement and accompanied by good motivation are the basic competencies that must be possessed by medical students in producing a successful doctor in the future. In this study, students will be measured the average score on each component of the remedial exam based on gender, residence, and cramming. The aim is to determine the differences in academic achievement of students of the Faculty of Medicine, Christian University of Indonesia based on gender, place of residence, and cramming. This type of research is cross-sectional with a retrospective approach. In this study there were 2414 data on student grades who took remedial exams that met the inclusion criteria, namely students who had demographic data, cramming, and remedial exam scores for each course component. The results of the study from 80 male students who did not do cramming and lived in boarding houses, 34 students (42.5%) scored > 65 with an average score of 75.29; while from 154 male students who lived in their own homes, 65 students (42.20%) scored > 65 with an average score of 77.03. Meanwhile, in the sub-group of male students who did cramming and lived in their own homes (n=337) the results were as follows: only 39.76% passed the exam with a lower average score of 75.47; while out of 168 male students who lived in boarding houses, the percentage of passing the remedial exam was 41.07% with an average score of 75.02. The data for the group of female students who did not do cramming is as follows: who lived in boarding houses as many as 355 (total data) and out of 355 it turned out that only 155 (43.66%) managed to pass the exam with an average score of 76.22. While in the sub-group of female students who did not do cramming who lived in their own homes (n = 270) the results were only 48.88% who passed the exam with an average score of 76.25. In contrast, for female students who live in boarding houses, the percentage of passers is only 41.68% and those who live in their own homes only pass as many as 45.48% with an average score of 75.33. The conclusion is that female students who live in their own homes have a higher average score than male students who live in boarding houses.
