Abstract

Kata kunci : Kejadian Asma, Pasien Anak Asthma is a chronic respiratory tract disease characterized by increased reactivity to various airway stimuli and blockages that can return spontaneously or with appropriate treatment. Therefore the authors are interested in conducting a study that aims to describe the incidence of asthma in pediatric patients in UKI Hospital. This research uses a descriptive method. The study was conducted at the UKI General Hospital in the medical record section in December 2018. The population in this study were all children with asthma, while the study sample was children aged 1 - 17 years who had asthma and were recorded in medical records at the RSU. UKI. The results showed that most asthma patients aged between 5-10 years, male sex, weighed 20 kg, normal blood pressure (90/60 - 120/80 mmHg), normal pulse rate (70-120x per minutes), abnormal respiratory frequency (< 40x and > 60x per minute), and normal body temperature (36,6 - 37oC). It is recommended that the UKI General Hospital always make comprehensive treatment and care for people with asthma. Nurses should be able to improve the function as an educator, namely having to provide information to patients and families about asthma in increasing their knowledge and management. In addition, further researchers can conduct research on the factors that cause asthma in children. Key Word : The Incidence of Asthma, Pediatric Patiens.
