Abstract
Indonesia adalah negara yang dianugerahi dengan kekayaan budaya, suku, dan ras. Budaya tradisional telah diwariskan oleh para leluhur untuk dijaga dan dilestarikan. Keunggulan dalam bidang kebudayaan dapat menjadi potensi bagi Indonesia meningkatkan eksistensi, mempererat hubungan diplomatik dengan negara lain dan menciptakan citra positif bagi negaranya. Penelitian ini berfokus pada kebudayaan Dayak dari Kalimantan. Suku Dayak Kalimantan memiliki tarian dan musik tradisional yang sangat indah. Para pelaku seni Dayak Kalimantan sering mempromosikan budaya Dayak Kalimantan melalui seni tari dan musik tradisional. Salah satu kawasan yang ditargetkan dalam promosi budaya ini adalah kawasan Eropa. Penelitian ini membahas kegiatan promosi kebudayaan Dayak Kalimantan yang dilakukan di Republik Ceko, Ukraina, dan Prancis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengeksplorasi dan memahami langkah strategis promosi Dayak melalui tarian dan musik tradisional Dayak Kalimantan di Eropa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pada konsep diplomasi kebudayaan dan konsep nation branding. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan model penelitian bertipe deskriptif. Data penelitian berasal dari data primer dan sekunder dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Proses analisis penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi promosi budaya Dayak Kalimantan di kawasan Eropa dilakukan dengan pembentukan program promosi dan pelestarian budaya Dayak Kalimantan oleh pemerintah daerah, kerja sama pemerintah daerah dan pelaku seni tradisional Dayak Kalimantan serta pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana promosi budaya. Promosi budaya Dayak Kalimantan ini memberikan dampak bagi pemerintah daerah maupun masyarakat Kalimantan di bidang sosial budaya (citra) dan bidang ekonomi (pariwisata). Traditional culture has been passed down by the ancestors to be guarded and preserved. Excellence in the field of culture can be a potential for Indonesia to increase its existence, strengthen diplomatic relations with other countries and create a positive image for the country. This research focuses on Dayak culture from Kalimantan. The Kalimantan Dayak tribe has very beautiful traditional dances and music. Kalimantan Dayak artists often promote Kalimantan Dayak culture through traditional dance and music. One of the regions targeted in this cultural promotion is the European region. This research discusses Dayak Kalimantan cultural promotion activities carried out in the Czech Republic, Ukraine, and France. The purpose of this research is to explore and understand the strategic steps of Dayak promotion through traditional Kalimantan Dayak dance and music in Europe. This research uses the concept of cultural diplomacy and the concept of nation branding. This research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive type research model. The research data comes from primary and secondary data with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, literature studies and documentation. The analysis process of this research shows that the strategy of promoting Dayak Kalimantan culture in the European region is carried out by the establishment of a program for the promotion and preservation of Dayak Kalimantan culture by the local government, cooperation between the local government and traditional Dayak Kalimantan artists and the use of social media as a means of cultural promotion. The promotion of Dayak Kalimantan culture has an impact on local governments and Kalimantan communities in the fields of socio-culture (branding) and economic (tourism).
