Abstract

Sikap peduli lingkungan adalah respon terhadap keadaan untuk terlibat dalam menjaga, merawat dan melesterikan lingkungan. Sikap peduli lingkungan memiliki pengaruh penting terhadap lingkungan itu sendiri. Seperti mahasiswa yang tinggal di asrama Yap Thiam Hien dengan jumlah populasi yang besar akan menjadi produsen sampah rumah tangga yang cukup tinggi sehingga perlu diperhatikan dalam menghadapi pandemi Covid-19. Covid-19 merupakan singkatan dari Corona Disease yang berkembang pada akhir tahun 2019 di Wuhan dan telah menjadi Pandemi. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik survey dan menggunakan angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi sebagai alat pengumpulan data dengan karakteristik yang ditetapkan meliputi usia, jenis kelamin, pendidikan dan tingkatan golongan (Angkatan) untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap peduli lingkungan yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa asrama Yap Thiam Hien dalam menghadapi pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Juni 2020. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 95 responden berasal dari angkatan 2016, 2017, 2018 dan 2019. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan terdapat pengaruh yang terlihat dari setiap karakteristik yang ditetapkan seperti usia, jenis kelamin, pendidikan dan tingkatan golongan (Angkatan) hasil penelitian menunjukan sikap peduli lingkungan dalam menghadapi pandemi Covid-19 yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa Asrama Yap Thiam Hien berada dalam kategori baik. Kata Kunci: Karakteristik , Sikap Peduli Lingkungan./ The attitude of environmental care is a responses to the state in maintaining and caring for the environment. Environmental care has an important role forthe environment itself. Such as, students who are living in Yap Thiam Hien dormitories with a large of population will be a high enough producer of household waste so it is worth noting in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. Covid-19 stands for Corona Disease which developed at the end of 2019 in Wuhan and has become a Pandemic. This study was used qualitative descriptive research with survey techniques. The data were collected used questionnaire, interview and documentation with established characteristics such as age, gender, education and class level to find out how environmental care attitudes has by the students of yap thiam hien in facing the Covid-19 pandemic. This study was conducted in June 2020. The population was 95 respondents from batchs 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Thus, the research conducted there were influenced from every characteristic stipulated such as age, gender, education and class level. The results showed that the environmental care of tudents of Yap Thiam Hien Dormitory in facing of the Covid-19 pandemic are in good category. Keywords: Characteristics, Environmental Care
