Abstract

Transportasi merupakan suatu kebutuhan yang hampir setiap harinya tidak dapat ditinggalkan oleh manusia. Pada jaman modern ini, semua orang membutuhkan alat transportasi untuk berpindah dari tempat yang satu ke tempat yang lain. Baik transportasi darat, air, maupun udara, ketiganya mempunyai peranan penting dalam mendukung kegiatan manusia. Indonesia memiliki jalan arteri primer di tiap provinsinya yang menghubungkan antar ibu kota provinsi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna jalur darat. Di Pulau Jawa, terdapat jalan arteri primer terbesar yang terletak di Pantai Utara Jawa yang dikenal dengan Jalan Pantura, jalan ini melintasi 5 provinsi yakni mulai dari Provinsi Banten, Jakarta, Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah hingga ke Jawa Timur. Dan dengan dibangunnya jalan tol maka perlu juga rest area dalam mendukung jalan tol itu sendiri, Karena Kebutuhan para pengguna akan adanya tempat beristirahat sejenak, dengan membutuhkan rest area yang sesuai standar dan layak memenuhi syarat dengan tidak mengesampingkan perilaku pengguna yang telah ada. Suatu rest area yang baik harus dapat memfasilitasi kebutuhan-kebutuhan para pengguna yang beristirahat berdasarkan hasil pengamatan serta evaluasi desain yang berbasis tingkat kepuasan pengguna dengan memperhatikan analisa perilaku dan kebutuhan para pengguna selama di perjalanan. Di dalam menganalisa perilaku yang perlu diperhatikan adalah bagaimana orang menggunakan elemen arsitektur secara pribadi, berpasangan, kelompok kecil, dan kelompok besar. Apa saja yang mereka lakukan, bagaimana aktifitas saling berkait, apa pengaruhnya terhadap si pengguna, dan bagaimana elemen fisik itu berpengaruh terhadap kegiatan. Proses perancangan rest area melewati beberapa tahapan, yaitu: (1) tahap pengumpulan data, (2) tahap analisis dan sintesis, dan (3) tahap konsep perancangan bangunan. Faktor waktu berhenti yang terbatas bagi pengguna rest area menuntut kemudahan akses dan kejelasan orientasi bagi para pengguna. Organisasi fasilitas-fasilitas yang terdapat pada rest area dengan memperhatikan hubungan dan kedekatan antar fasilitas, kemudahan akses dan pencapaian, kemudahan serta besaran kelompok pengunjung yang datang./ Transportation is a necessity that almost every day cannot be abandoned by humans. In this modern era, everyone needs transportation to move from one place to another. both land, water and air transportation, all three have an important role in supporting human activities. Indonesia has primary arterial roads in each province that connects provincial capitals to meet the needs of land users. on the island of Java, there is the largest primary arterial road located on the North Coast of Java, known as Jalan Pantura, this road crosses 5 provinces, from Banten, Jakarta, West Java, Central Java to East Java. and with the construction of the toll road it is also necessary to have a rest area in support of the toll road itself, because the users' need for a place to rest for a while, by requiring a rest area that is in accordance with standards and is eligibleby not ruling out existing user behavior.a good rest area must be able to facilitate the needs of resting users based on observations and design evaluations based on user satisfaction levels with regard to behavior and needs analysisusers on the go.in analyzing behavior that needs attention is how people use architectural elements in private, in pairs, small groups, and large groups. what they do, how the activities are interrelated, how they affect the user, and how the physical elements affect the activity. rest area design process goes through several stages, namely: (1) data collection stage, (2) analysis and synthesis stage, and (3) building design concept stage. the limited stop time factor for rest area users requires easy access and clear orientation for users. organization of facilities contained in the rest area by taking into account the relationship and closeness between facilities, ease of access and achievement, ease and magnitude of the group of visitors who come .
