Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami tentang kebijakan-kebijakan yang diambil oleh Amerika Serikat dan China terkait aset Cryptocurrency. Isu yang diangkat akan dikaji dengan menggunakan konsep decision making theory yang dikemukakan oleh Snyder. Dimana konsep decision making theory tersebut akan digunakan untuk menganalisa kebijakan atas respon yang dikeluarkan oleh Pemerintah Amerika Serikat dan China terkait perkembangan aset cryptocurrency. Skripsi ini juga menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Penelitian ini menemukan banyaknya faktor-faktor internal maupun eksternal penyebab terjadinya pengambilan kebijakan Pemerintah Amerika Serikat dan China terkait cryptocurrency. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan walaupun adanya perbedaan pengambilan keputusan dari kedua negara tetapi cryptocurrency tidak dapat dihindari seiring dengan perkembanganya teknologi. Negara-negara yang bersifat pro pada cryptocurrency dapat membentuk organisasi agar dapat saling membantu dan bekerja sama untuk menjaga keamanan penggunanya. Kata kunci: Amerika Serikat, China, Cryptocurrency./ This study aims to explore the policies taken by the United States and China regarding Cryptocurrency assets. The issues raised will be studied using the concept of decision making theory proposed by Snyder. Where the concept of decision making theory will be used to analyze policies on responses issued by the governments of the United States and China regarding the development of cryptocurrency assets. This research also uses descriptive qualitative research method with the type of case study research. This study finds many internal and external factors that cause the United States and China government policy-making related to cryptocurrencies. This study concludes that although there are differences in decision-making from the two countries, cryptocurrencies cannot be avoided along with technological developments. Countries that are pro on cryptocurrency can form organizations so that they can help each other and work together to keep their users safe. Keywords: United States of America, China, Cryptocurrency
